"
Under the Hatch Act, rank-and-file government employees can be reprimanded, suspended, docked pay or even fired. However, sanctions against presidential appointees are up to the president, so reports on such individuals are sent directly to the president.

In her letter, Lerner proposed no penalty for Castro but said she hoped her offices findings would encourage other federal employees to abide by their obligations not to engage in political activities while engaged in official duties"

In the cases during the Obama Administration the punishment was minimal. The same should apply to the Trump Administration.
But administrative discretion is based not on the name of the offense, but the egregiousness of the offence. Otherwise you couldn't call it discretion. The problem you have is that your opinion is influenced by whose ox got gored, the logic of a situation changes for you depending on the effect it has on your unconscious bias. You think that something terribly important will prove to be untrue of you face the evidence squarely. It won't. Our sacred beliefs are conditioned into us under pain of threat. You need to love truth enough to overcome that. I managed to die to what I held sacred and found myself in a better place, disastrous though it felt at the time. So can you. The good is real even if you don't know what it is. Have no fear.

Did you read this thread and see the hatred, vileness, evil and insanity directed at this woman? She's guilty of being a partisan participant in the United States political process. Nothing more or less. She isn't deserving of such nastiness.

The psychopath who advocated for murdering immigrants by dropping grenades down tunnel openings is terribly upset that people said mean things about a woman.

Lol.

Crooked Kellyanne! What's she hiding? What about her emails? What about Benghazi? What about the Bowling Green massacre? Lock her up!

What about this, tan? I don’t believe for a second you would throw much granades but I doo believe you are angry enough to say something like that because what pisses you off is the immorality that what they are doing is illegal and they get away with it. You and I didn’t get away with shit like that. We got our asses beat and learned to wish pIn on transgressors. Can you see that liberals feel an identical and hyperbolic reaction to the woman in question here. I find both reactions to be typical but wrong. You also dodged the argument I made in your post. And again I find the comments you asked about offensive.

If you break federal law, don't you normally get arrested?
It's the Hatch Act and it's up to President Trump to make the call for White House aid Kellyanne Conway.

Just as it was up to Obama to make the call for Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro when he violated it and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius when she violated it.

I'm laughing.
