I saw that, but when Blumenthal asked him to speak out publicly, Gorsuch demurred. I think he's just trying to score some cheap points with democrats to get confirmed. 'Oh, I can vote for him, he spoke out against Trump'.

No he didn't.

I was suspicious of that as well, but from what I've seen he doesn't seem like a bad guy so wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Particularly if Trump could pull his nomination somehow.

He's a bad guy. He knows that the seat is open as a result of an unprecedented and undemocratic power grab by McConnell, and he accepted the nomination anyway. He's putting his own interests before the interests of the nation and democracy. Totally disqualifying.

The rule covers that too.
You are correct, sir.
An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with
whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the
employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations.

Oh what fun. Any action that might be taken against her would come from the head of the federal agency which employs her, in this case the White House. Guess nothing will come of this.

KA Conjob skips by on technicality. She used her public office for someone else's private gain.

Doesn't matter, still illegal.

§ 2635.702 Use of public office for private gain.

An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations.

Not only can you simply not endorse any product but she is clearly affiliated with the daughter of her boss in a nongovernmental capacity.

If its any consolation, an endorsement from KAC might be enough to kill the brand completely.

Our liberal media right? Clinton was harangued and had to show a plan how she would divest herself from her husbands charity that was well revered. And the media forced Trump to show how he would divest himself from his for profit business while HE was president. Oh yeah... They didn't.

What power does the minority party in Congress have to hold hearings?
Wait. You're saying the years of ethical concerns by the GOP during the election was solely political? That they don't actually care what happens now that their guy is in office?

The hell you say. I don't believe that for a second.

I think Conway saying "go buy Ivanka stuff" is completely inappropriate. I understand why she said it, but it's not appropriate for a government official to do.

The media can't force him to do anything. You see, when they reviled him and smeared him as they did all during the campaign, they lost all leverage -- he didn't care about what they said because there was nothing they could say that would negatively impact him anymore.

No no no. They want to get to it, but they have no bandwidth as they are too tied up with more important Benghazi hearings

You seem to miss the point. We heard for months and months about Clinton and CGI from the mediua. That she was unable to be president and have her husband run a not for profit. If she is incapable of doing that, how is Trump capable of being president and having For-Profit companies that do International business. I'm sure you are equally if not more concerned about that.

I'm still curious as why you are suddenly saying so many things Trump does are completely out of bounds but seem to back him up so often.

You appear to always be all over the map, do you even have a clue yourself what you believe ?

While Trump =/= Conway, he still is accountable because she rolls up to him. Just because I disagree with something someone does doesn't mean I have to disagree with everything else they do. I look at every issue based on its own merit.

Get a clue someday, seriously, you flip flop so fast for the sake of an argument it is a bit pathetic.

I do? Can you explain how I flip flopped? I said what Conway said was inappropriate. ..... where's the flip flop? Are you responding to those voices in your head again? :D
