ON topic... You guys seriously need to re-evaluate what makes someone worthy of respect, being a role model, etc. Yes, he's certainly generous. Who wouldn't like to get a couple million dropped on you? That does not make him a role model, worthy of respect, or anything else that's been showered on him in this thread. I'm not saying he's not (I don't know him, & don't know much about him so I'm in no position to judge), but don't over-react - It's just money. If Larry Flynt suddenly started passing out $100 bills would you want your kids to be like him?

what's your problem?
My problem is I'm not blinded by dollar signs. Yes, it's a nice gesture. He's probably a nice guy - But there are a hell of a lot of people far more deserving of the "utmost respect" you guys are offering up - And they didn't give away a dime.

OK, you're an idiot.
True it's not about the $$$$, but when someone has it and freely gives it out to help support the people that made him what he is. You know the prop makers and stuntmen and designers don't make tons of money. They prob make 40-60K in Cali, and that's not a lot. With his donations, many many kids will now have a chance at going to college, a family can now move out of their apt and live in a house.
Whowould you say deserves the "utmost respect"?? Doctors? Lawyers? Teachers? I've got news for you, Doctors and Lawyers are almost all in it for the $$$, Teachers can make damn good money if they teach in universities or private schools.
