Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
 
Also if they are 100% commited to APUs then they should have a brand new 14nm APU with Zen cores as soon as next year instead of another 28nm BD-derivative. Unless of course Zen is all about efficiency and not that much faster than the Excavator cores to justify using a more expensive node or it might not be ready to market as soon as this Briston Ridge APUs.

Yes. CPU performance and performance/watt matters the most. Something APUs fail flat on.

But in games AMD s APUs have noticeably better perf/watt than Intel s, and better performance also..

People dont buy them for that. I thought the complete destruction of AMDs marketshare already proved that. So why is it still being used as an argument?
