He should be done on this alone. He can't control his temper and I understand that if he thinks the process unfair, but that's not the temperment that can be pass over. What he's done in using Trump's language is to demonstrate he's a partisan and perhaps not above getting even.

Nope.

95% chance the shitbag gets confirmed IMO.

Manchin just described the Flake/Collins/Murkowski huddle he was in as "all undecided"

Corker is supposedly making some announcement soon but wanted to tell his staff first. May mean something or nothing.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok, let’s make an accusation about rape, and you lose everything, even if it’s not true. How’s that? Go jump of a chair, and hurt your ankles. You want this crap when a Democrat is president? God, your too moronic to even think this can come back and bite you in the ass. To all you dem’s, better watch out, it will come right back at you.

This just goes to show you we need more libertarians, and less morons.

Women do not just go around accusing people of rape for shits and giggles. What does Ford get out of any of this? Having to move? Uprooting her children from their school? Extra death threats from trump trash for life?

It amazes me how conservatives seem to think women go around accusing people of rape simply to spite them, even at great personal cost to themselves. People, in general, do not like to tell other people they've been raped. My guess is that most conservatives live their lives with few if any female friends.

Yes. While talking, they're "undecided".

When it comes time to vote, they will vote the way they always vote.

Collins, Murkowski, and McCain sank the ACA repeal. I don't know what's going on but it doesn't seem that simple right now.

So speculation is that Trump was livid at the optics of Kavanaugh's opening statement, hated the crying, was almost ready to pull the plug...and then Lindsay Graham saved the day for Trump and Kavanaugh by ditching the prosecutor.

What kind of arrogant & entitled rich kid prick would put the country through this to fulfill their personal ambitions? If Kavanaugh cared more about his Country than his right wing ideology he would have withdrawn & been painted as a hero for doing it. If McConnell cared the same way he never would have allowed this shit show to occur. It's all Party over Country.

His opening statement alone should be enough to disqualify him from the SC or his current position.
Exactly agreed. Completely unfit for the job when he's attacking senators for trying to inquire into whether a woman was sexually assaulted or not by a potential supreme court justice.
What does he expect them to do? Just look the other way? Cover it up so that it shows up in the new york times instead a year from now and then is truly a national embarassment? Come on.

Also am I the only one who lost even more respect for lindsey graham who has done more flip flopping in his lifetime than Tarek and Christina El Moussa?

My guess is that Republicans will hold the vote tomorrow to narrowly pass him out of Committee, and schedule the floor vote for next week. But it's very thin ice after that...

It would be mildly hilarious if Flake did something like vote "present" to deadlock the committee vote forcing McConnell to move it to the floor without the recommendation.

Do I want allegations of sexual misconduct investigated when a Dem is President? Yes I do. I don't GARA who is in office at all or if it's a SCOTUS appointee, a Senator, or the county dog catcher.

And ironically this is exactly the kind of person Kavanaugh likely is, it's the assumption that a woman is a certain thing or acts a certain way, or is out to get them, or is conspiratorial by nature. Someone alluded to this too in either this thread or the other Kavanaugh thread that there's not a 'culture' of this with stabbing, shooting, robbing, etc. Just sexual assault.

God I hope this ends up like when they backed Pedo Roy Moore and lost a senate seat they had no business losing in ruby red Alabama.

If they're smart one GOP member of the committee will vote with the Dems to kill it so they can all say whatever they need to say about the wreckage to get re-elected. "I'm glad I didn't have to vote on that because I didn't know what to believe (or whatever sells)." Work the straddle, divert to another talking point. Make it Flake or Hatch or somebody who won't have to face the voters for 4 years.

So this elsewhere but thought the comment had merit.

“Guys realize that your response to the Kavanaugh allegations are the best indicator of whether the women in your life will tell you if they’ve been assaulted or not. “
