She may have intended to, it was indicated earlier by Grassley (or Feinstein? Might have missed that one) that the shit hit the fan outside her scope, by Ford herself/her friends/the media or whatever. She didn't leak and this shit probably exploded before she could do whatever, I presume.
She was used, she is running for Senate against a younger and more progressive opponent.

Kennedy makes me laugh, he's another Graham, just crrrrrraves that camera. Boy loves him some dramatic pauses and folksy bullshit.

The DC bureau chief of The Intercept just stated they did not get their information from Feinstein's office. The Intercept is no fan of Feinstein's so I'd consider that a pretty credible statement.

Could have been someone from Eshoo's office then. The only others who had the letter were Ford and her attorneys.

If we’re talking about putting party before country, what is the appropriate action for a Senator on the judiciary committee that receives confidential but serious and credible allegations against a judicial nominee?
Right, but the horse is already out of that stable. Now we're talking about how you proceed.

To which you have said there should be an FBI investigation. So what are you quibbling about? Are you trying to get Brad in this thread?

OK, as it stands, I do not want this guy to be on the supreme court simply because of his conduct during the rape allegation/investigation.

I dont even care about an incident from the distant past.

He will be very bad for the court as he’s basically an overt partisan operative. The Supreme Court has always been political but now any decision where he rules in favor of Republicans is going to be tainted. It will undermine its legitimacy.

Given that he just couched his defense in such starkly angry partisan terms I think this is right.

Graham was pure class- not. He's getting on an elevator and a woman tell him that she's a rape victim. His response was "I'm sorry, tell the police" and off he goes.
