Kavanaugh SCOTUS Senate Judicial Hearing

It's clear she's telling the truth. The GOP's only "credible" defense was that she is a liar, which she is clearly not. Now what will their defense be?

I see this going one of two ways:

-The GOP goes forward with the vote and Kavanaugh gets the nomination, this creates a blue sharknado during the midterms and they lose a significant majority of their base (mostly women).
-The GOP withdraws the Kavanaugh nomination and try to ram through another before the midterms. Maybe not a sharknado, but certainly a tsunami and may keep some of their base. If they're smart, this is what they'll do.

But they're not smart, or at least they are deferring to Trump to make a decision which is the stupidest thing they can do.

If I look at this for the standpoint that Brett Kavanaugh is 100% innocent of all allegations, GOP totally screwed the pooch with this hearing. They handled this poorly and it shows. They should've taken more time to review/investigate, come up with a serious defense, and just blamed Democrats for the delay heading into the midterms. I don't understand why they rushed this...pressure from the President?

Everyone wants to know where Mark Judge is. If GOP had given Kavanaugh and Judge more time, Judge could have been professionally coached on appearing as a witness, how to answer leading questions, and how to defer. Instead, GOP rushed this shitshow and it's the ultimate self-pwnage. They never believed Judge could provide a reliable defense for Kavanaugh, hence why he's been disappeared.

They are not required to reach a conclusion or provide analysis for a Congressional hearing. This isn't a criminal trial. Their job should've been to gather the facts without bias, provide sworn testimony from witnessesunder penalty of perjury, and allow the Committee to make their recommendation.

Like I said, GOP could've milked this talking point for all it's worth IF they delayed for 2 weeks and asked FBI to investigate. But they didn't, and to be honest it falls a little flat when you consider what's happened to her since coming out publicly.
