Chris Wallace is on Fox and said "This is a disaster for Republicans" and that Ford seems extremely credible.
Good thing this is a simple fact finding hearing and totally not political theater.

This show has Mitch McConnell written all over it. Unless Kavanaugh exposes himself to the committee, expect a vote tomorrow.

I hear the FBI is pretty good at investigating and establishing facts.

I’m pretty sure the Senate Judiciary Committee is aware of this and since this questioning clearly shows their sincere desire to get the facts I wonder why they didn’t ask the FBI to investigate?
Why didn't they ask the Maryland state police to investigate it? If the FBI had the extra 6 weeks that the Democrats were concealing the accusation there would have been plenty of time for investigations.

The science argument for memory won't play well.
Of course not, this show has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with plucking heartstrings like they were a banjo, and it's proving to be spectacularly successful. Really I have to give kudos to the Democrats, it's a clear win.

I think the committee will vote and probably move the nomination to the floor. The nomination could fail there though and I think today increases the odds.

Good question, there are a number of investigative bodies the Republicans could have asked to look into this if they were interested in the facts. There are also numerous other witnesses they could have called if they were interested in the facts. They went out of their way to ensure none of these things happened. I mean there's another guy that Ford testified under oath to being in the room at the time of the alleged crime. If I wanted to know the facts I would definitely call him as a witness.

I wonder why the Republicans aren't doing any of these things considering their deep, deep desire to get the facts.

Today is not yet over, or did forget that the accused gets to answer the allegations? Or do you even care there's another side?

Why try to blame the Republicans when the Democrats haven't done anything at all to investigate and in fact, have been obstructing or not engaging in any investigations?

You do realize that an actual competent investigation, such as one by the FBI, can only be requested by the president, right?

I don't see what's so problematic over this minor part of the testimony. A lot of troubled people look to psychology, and she is literally a psychology professor. Her remarks on memory make sense. Obviously the traumatizing experience would make certain parts stay with her, so it's easy to believe she has 100% certainty who it was, while also not necessarily remembering other aspects.

Senate investigations, State or District investigations are professional and have been available to the Democrats for over 2 months, why have they done nothing?

Why do you make such transparently obvious lies? Democrats strongly support investigating this but have been blocked by Republicans. Republicans control the committee and could call any witnesses they want and force them to testify. They have not done so because they don't actually care about the facts. Although really more likely, they realize the facts are extremely bad for them so they want to ensure as few as possible get out. This is what happens when you have a party of shitbags.

What have they done? You do know there are more investigators out there?

Irrelevant. You claimed the Republicans were trying to find out facts here. Their actions show they are obviously not trying to find the facts, because they have repeatedly declined several direct ways to get them.

Please acknowledge that the Republicans do not care about getting facts about this case.

I don't mean to say it's problematic. It's quite the show, and a great victory for the Democrats. I just wonder who's going to be nominated next.

Irrelevant? Bullshit, the reason the Democrats haven't investigated the accusation is because the accusation itself is all they want, the facts might screw it up for them. That's why they sat on the information for so long and still haven't aided in any investigation.
