This rant seems to have almost no bearing as to what’s been said in this thread.

This describes many of his posts in this forum. Screeds of whataboutism.

I'll leave others to decide his motivations.

Since the woman passed a lie detector test, Kavanaugh could clear this up easily by taking a lie detector test as well.
This will never happen though.

This woman appears to have a smart lawyer. Preemptively taking the polygraph cuts off a significant, and usually disingenuous, line of attack against her credibility.

I never said it was trash. I did say it was suspect and mishandled, and I don’t think that’ changed.

It was previously reported that the FBI received the letter, presumably looked into it and chose not to look into it further.

I also thought Al Franken’s resignation was handled poorly.

You repeatedly denigrated it as being something from high school, something anonymous, etc. I kept saying we should wait and see what comes of it but you kept downplaying it. It looks like I was right.

Word already emanating from the WH that Trump will go after the accuser personally. Which could backfire tremendously.

Polygraphs have been proven to be bullshit. The inventor of the polygraph himself came out and said that.

Either way this is just hilariously childish.

I don't disagree about their unreliability. Doesn't change that it would have been used as an attack against her.

This is many things but it’s not childish. It’s a credible accusation of attempted rape.

Flake says the committee shouldn't vote until they hear more from Ford.

If this is considered credible... then what ISNT considered credible?

So you think she’s been laying the groundwork for this false accusation since 2012? That’s quite a plan.

This accusation should be credible to any reasonable person. Doesn’t mean it’s true, but there’s no reason to dismiss it.

Most R senators seem cautious. They know a damaged limb when they see one and aren't about to crawl out on it without good cause.

CNN got Collins on the record at an airport and I wouldn't have extreme confidence in her going along with trying to jam Kavanaugh through.

They don't need her vote though, do they?
