Feinstein wrote she had "received medical treatment regarding the assault" and said she expected it to remain confidential as she felt compelled to say something.

I did read it, thank you for posting it. She also mentions she received medical help, was it the at the time of the alleged assault or is she talking about the mental health help she received after the alleged incident. I haven't read a letter for Booker's victim yet.

If he stands for the Citizens United decision, then I do not want him on the SCOTUS and urge votes accordingly. McCaskill has sound reasoning here.

If you read the entire post it's completely obvious that she was saying she believed it happened because she heard about it at the time. It's not like what she wrote is difficult to parse or understand.

She isn't. She went from saying it happened because she heard about it in school to it may or may not have happened because she didn't actually see it but she did hear about it in school.

To anyone able to comprehend context she isn't backtracking. She's clarifying that her determination that it happened was based on hearsay. She's acknowledging that fact.

She didn't say she did not hear about it or that her belief in the validity of the claim changed. That would be a back track.

She's clearly saying that she believed it happened because she heard about it in school, not that she witnessed it. Her clarifying now that she didn't witness it is no backtracking at all because she never said she did.
