Arabs for Trump got so completely taken and are now bewildered that a proven liar who lies to get things from people lied to them specifically. lol.

But Mr. Trump’s foreign policy picks have dismayed liberal Jews and Arab Americans alike, including Arab and Muslim voters who sided with Mr. Trump as a rebuke to the Biden administration’s support of Israel in its war in Gaza. Some Muslim supporters, such as Rabiul Chowdhury, a founder of Muslims for Trump, said they had been led to believe that the man leading the outreach to them, Richard Grenell, Mr. Trump’s former ambassador to Germany and onetime acting intelligence chief, would be made secretary of state.

Samraa Luqman, an environmental justice activist in Dearborn, Mich., and a co-chair of the Abandon Harris campaign among Arab American voters, said she still believed “anything is better” than the Biden administration officials who “led us into a downward spiral in the last year or so.” But she conceded, “I’m not thrilled about the appointments of war hawks and neo-cons, and have been very vocal about my support for Ambassador Richard Grenell to become the next secretary of state.”

i have no idea what kind of mental gymnastics it takes to think Trump standing there telling Israel to get it over with already as well as having private conversations with Netanyahu to not make anything better for Biden….is somehow the better decision, and at this point I am just shrug stage. Im hoping for the best and planning and expecting the worst.

“They used to call Bill Clinton the comeback kid,” Johnson said. “[Trump] is the comeback king.”

I think that's what's called a Freudian slip, no?
Well, Johnson is more than willing to appoint him our new king, so probably not?

Warren is right on many things, she lacks the ability to get people excited to do stuff.
I fully agree with the reply, talking about a problem is worthless unless something is done about the problem.

I actually just heard this on NPR with the transition team. The issue is yea he is breaking the law but there are no repercussions for doing it

When people lose all faith in the law what inevitably follows is apathy and violence. The right thinks and is acting like it has a total monopoly on political violence and will forever. Historically they could not be more wrong.

And what exactly does left wing apathy or political violence achieve?

More enshrinement of right wing rule?

I'm just telling you what happens. Modern righties think they are immune from this though and I am not sure how them encountering new reality works for them. Sure it's fun to shitpost, throw klan marches, and if your Trump probably start putting opponents in jail but what happens when people on the other side decide to use active measures. Owning the libs with the government is hilarious until somebody blows up your house.

I mean the worst case scenario is literal civil war.

People should not be afraid of their governments.

Governments should be afraid of their people!

Yeah, I did start wondering (probably sometime yesterday after the Gabbard pick) about just how insane things would get before someone started in on the "tree of liberty ... blood of ... tyrants" type talk.

And I agree, the GQP absolutely does NOT have that market cornered. They just do it during "normal" times ...

It seems to me that thanks to the Ukraine war, the weaponization of drones is going to spill over big time into the domestic and international terrorist market. So I don’t think we’ve seen anything yet.

Who's gonna do it? The Starbucks baristas, college kids, soccer moms? The GOP won the majority. 60% vets voted Trump. Not sure what it was for active duty but I'm sure similar.

This is crazy talk. How about we focus on better candidates/ideas/messaging and breaking thru the RW media ecosystem? Any violence that happens would get immediately clamped down and only further cements their rule - "See, we told you the left was bloodthirsty!"

Dumb, dumb, dumb.
