I love Tony on roasts where being offensive's part of the roast. He's also pretty funny at times on Kill Tony, where sounding like a shitbag's what makes it Kill Tony. WHO on Trump's team thought it was a good idea to let him do a set? And it's not just the Tony thing, they've made a lot of other WTF moves. It's almost like they don't have any fear of losing.

Tony Hinchcliffe doing racist as shit standup?
Trump speaking at a black journalist convention?
Trump speaking in front of an entire room of females?
Using the Titanic theme, a movie about a fuckin boat sinking at a rally?
Trump going on a rant shitting all over Detroit, while giving a speech in Detroit?

Tony can be funny, but this wasn't the right place at all for his comedy, and compared to most of his offensive shit, it wasn't even good. He called Puerto Rico floating shit? I don't know his political leaning, from his comedy I'd say he's gotta be a MAGA type, but it also seems like his comedy's just a persona and he's nothing like this in real life. Maybe he did an extra racist set minus the wit and funny parts all to troll Trump. Whatever the case, Trump's people giving the thumbs up for him to perform was fucking dumb. There's no possible way they didn't know what they were gonna get. And if they thought he'd hold back, they're fucking idiots.

Now they're trying to distance themselves and say "we don't agree with what he said" Trump absolutely feels the same. The damage control needed here will be something else. Meanwhile, nothing will happen to Tony because he runs his own Podcast/show so nobody can pull him off the air. I'd imagine the shots at Puerto Rico will turn a good number of even his non PR Spanish supporters to Harris. And I'm sure all the big Rican celebrities will come out supporting Harris now. And black people carving Watermelons for Halloween instead of pumpkins will undoubtedly lose Trump some black votes.

And.... Trump's still in the running with a higher than fair chance of winning. I don't know if anything other than him dying could seal this election at this point. The number of trainwreck appearances don't seem to be effecting his chances.
This late in the game I think you'll only see the effects after election day

This definitely doesn't help..

What would be worse.. him continuing to drag down dems or Hochul replacing him and he becomes a martyr for Trump?

Does _anybody_ use the word "refute" correctly these days?
It doesn't mean "rejects" or "denies" or "contradicts".

Refutation’s an intellectual process, involving the presentation of evidence leading to a neutral observer's acceptance of the contrary case. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says.

(Or is this one of those things like "literally" where even the dictionaries have given up and changed the definition because it gets misused so frequently?)

Interesting side-issue.

I would imagine that group would heavily lean Democrat (except possibly for Israeli-Americans? Wouldn't surprise me if they opt more for Trump, as that's how Israelis overall lean). Also would imagine that there might be some disgruntlement from Republicans at their voting at all - seems a genuinely debatable question whether people who don't live in a country should get to decide what happens there.

Not even bothering to hide it. They appear very confident.

That's what worries me.. I'm not worried about polls because we know what is wrong with Trump. What the fuck is wrong with people who support Trump?

What do the followers want?

It's not the economy.. that's just an excuse.

And I'm telling you to forget about the polls since if Trump praising Hitler and recreating the Nazi rally doesn't move the polls.. will anything?

If that "secret" is that if Trump loses congressional Rs will conspire to reject EVs from some states so that the House decides the election that is an insane plan that is very unlikely to work. A majority of the house and senate would be required to reject a state's electoral votes. Even if they managed it the country would explode.

Anybody who actually attends one of these things was already, long ago, totally unreachable. Full cult members.

Optimism bias: It'll happen to other people, not to me!

Reminds me of a buddy of mine who was vacationing in Thailand and he didn't keep up with his visa renewals (it was a complicated process but you needed to LEAVE the country after 90 days and come back - so fly out, fly back in).. he assumed the Thai authorities would only deport the Africans and stuff.. and he walked into a tourist area and they checked passports and caught him and deported him. Didn't even allow him to go to his hotel to get stuff.

True story btw.

Yeah, all the latinos who are voting for Trump don't believe that they will be impacted personally in any way. I think they are probably wrong and it is an insane risk to run at all.

Yeah well this guy was Indian. He supports Trump too so I sorta reduced contact with him after I got tired of his Trump is so awesome comments..

I really do think in New York/ California at least a lot more people who're immigrants are voting Trump now.. and that's what's skewing the polls nationally.. like they wouldn't bother to vote before as they were safe blue states.. but now they might be "leaning D"?

A lot of unions are eagerly headed into the face eating leopard cage proclaiming that they will not eat their face.

A lot of people that actually are worried about the economy think Trump is better for the economy.

What they don't understand is prices depend on corporations and those corporations are basically in bed with Trump.

Dipshits. It doesn't matter if your state laws might protect organizing when the company would just turn to the NLRB. One good example is grad student unionization efforts under Obama, then Trump, then Biden: total zig-zag thanks to who appointed members of the board.

They are worried about the economy because they are in information bubbles fed by algorithms that tell them what they want to hear.

Nevermind that wages are up, inflation is down, and unemployment has been doing great. And on top of it all, people are rushing to spend money, or spending more on eating out (whereas grocery budgets are flat), or going on vacations. Those don't sound like activities that happen when the economy is bad.

So expect maga Mike Johnson to try to fuck with the election, without a doubt.

You see I'm not a bad guy.. I'm just a little ahead of the curve.

You didn't expect it would be that easy such as just winning an election.. did you?
