I've been seeing a lot of Harris/Walz signs in my area, pretty big change from 2016 and 2020 where I mainly only saw trump signs. Saw a good Harris one this morning that had a stylized picture of her as lady liberty that said "Grab him by the Ballot".

Pay attention CoD bros. Trump wants to censor your livelihood.

Trump is an intellectual muffin. If elected he is incapable of cognition. He'll be a mouthpiece and signature for whatever measure/threat of the day that comes along, like last time, but worse. The man has no backbone, an understatement. If you need needling, subscribe to Steve Schmidt YT videos, The Warning.

Trump at this point appears to be nothing more than a Trojan horse for JD Vance, Thiel, and all the other monarchists and techno bros.

Michelle Obama is doing a big event in Georgia targeting younger voters later this month.

I thought it was funny when I read a post here in the last week 'did we just give up on Georgia?'

To this very day I still can't come to grips with the fact that a convicted felon, known adulterer and rapist, blatant tax cheat, racist, got caught stealing top secret gov't docs, facing an imminent sentencing for falsifying business records and under indictment for other crimes he'd probably committed is still tied for a second chance to lead the most powerful nation on the face of the earth. Is there in existence a justifiable prime motivator that compels his supporters to elect to the highest office of the land such a blatantly lying sleazeball infantile narcissist?

Would Kamala Harris or any other Democrat for that matter still be in the running with a rap sheet as illustrious as Trump's? <--(rhetorical). I wish a fervent Trump supporter would take a bounce into this forum and give us a straight up honest answer instead of the side slips and jukes we've been hosed with.

And why is that Republicans consider economic issues one of their highest priorities yet their candidates for office rarely ever bring it to bear in their campaign speeches and ads as if it would literally kill their chances of being elected? Where aren't they providing their performance metrics that prove this alleged belief that Republicans are better at all things economically related when all they're doing is avoiding the topic when being faced with providing their evidence to prove their claims?

It's simply amazing how empty promises, emotionally driven disinformation/misinformation and blatant lies can convince half the nation to vote for the worst possible candidate this nation could come up with. Simply unfuckingbelievable yet there it is and there they are.

Mostly simple "I'm a Republican, thus I support the Republicans" and "Democrats bad", building on a couple decades of billionaire propaganda. It's like still rooting for your sports team even when they've sucked for years and give every sign of having no idea what they're doing, you still root for your team.

Justifiable? Absolutely not. About the only accomplishment of the Trump presidency was Operation Warp Speed, and I seriously doubt he was a champion of it anyway.

But the reality is that there are a lot of low info voters out there, and I'm not referring just to straight-up "deplorables" that will vote (R) up and down ballot no matter what. So for various reasons that we've discussed going back over a year, this is still a 50/50 contest when pure logic dictates that Trump should be toxic to most voters.

Note that this kind of problem isn't unique to the U.S. There are strange elections everywhere, and esp. post-Covid when people have "lost faith" in government institutions. As a random example that doesn't quite fit any Western mold, the Philippines elected a corrupt strongman; and then elected the son of a corrupt former dictator that was thrown out of office in infamy.

Obviously there are some unique issues for us in 2024, but my overall point is there are billions of dumb voters everywhere. We're not exceptional in that regard, even if it seems that way with MAGA.

Joe is an over-T'd meatneck with the brain capacity of a turnip. He has absolutely no clout over anyone with a college degree. She will wipe the floor with him if he thinks he can trap her into anything.
And I am telling you guys that you're wrong. First of all Joe is not stupid. He is a dumbass, there is a difference. He the type of guy that wants to believe in aliens and conspiracies SO BAD that it tips him over from time to time.

No. She will not wipe the floor with him. It is his show and he will interrupt speak over and be very Trumpian, he will talk of conspiracies like they're facts and steer the conversation on his terms.

His podcast is his element. And he is not a sub 100 IQ guy, dont underestimate him.

It just proves that Trump is stupid that he is not letting Susie Wiles talk sense into him to run a smart campaign, considering what an amazing job she did of totally pantsing DeSantis. Surrounding yourself with yes men is so Putinesque and counter-productive.

Humans DO NOT operate on logic. Never have.
The few who did throughout history, first placed their faith in science. Only then did they seek the truth through reason and logic.
That faith in reality can easily be misplaced or shoved aside in favor of something, anything else. Cheeto Jesus, for example.

You describe Trump one way. They describe him as their savior.
Reexamine your assumptions about who humans are, and what drives and motivates them, and you can understand the answer "why". You can understand the prime motivator that compels us all.

From what I've seen she did perfectly fine in the Fox interview. Faced down a hostile interviewer, didn't make any significant mistakes, and pretty effectively rebutted loaded questions.

Trump would never sit for something like this now.

It will be interesting how often Faux re-broadcasts this interview. For such an important interview most networks repeat them several times. And Faux seems to repeat Trump stuff all the time.
Maybe air clips of creatively edited segments...
