My coworker just spent 3 weeks in Europe and told me that restaurants won't give people free water there. I think it's nuts that the socialist dreamland makes people pay for water at a restaurant. So Ice Water is American Exceptionalism.
Ice cubes are apparently a luxury item in the UK at least. Always had to ask for more ice when I ordered liquor over there (not in Scotch of course). They'd give me the look that just reeked of "fucking Americans and their ice".

I can't say I ran into this very much in Spain, Portugal, Italy or Germany, most places would give you still (tap) water for free. The ice thing is real though, nothing like getting a glass of lukewarm water when it's like 90 out.

Trump has every intention of inciting violence in his bid to seize power.
Democrat's over use of mail-in ballots will allow an opportunity to declare himself the winner before all votes are counted.
Merely counting Democrat favored votes after election day WILL be declared cheating and "stealing" the election.

As they did in 2020.
This will happen again, but with far more organization for inflammatory propaganda.
It may be the primary reason Elon bought Twitter.

Harris team and some Trump allies anticipate he will declare a premature election win

Vice President Kamala Harris told NBC News that her team is preparing for the possibility that Trump will declare himself the winner, even if the results are not yet settled.
...
An early declaration of victory could be facilitated by what’s known as a “red mirage.” That happens when Republicans appear to have a lead on election night because in-person votes are generally counted quickly — but that lead could disappear in the days after Nov. 5 as absentee and early voting ballots are counted.
...
One longtime Republican and Trump supporter said that when they talk to other Republicans, there’s a widespread belief that the former president will claim a win on election night no matter what.
“I’ve heard this from like 10 different people,” the person said, making clear they didn’t have direct knowledge of Trump’s plans. “Because of the way things are counted, there is likely no way Democrats can possibly be ahead in places like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on election night.”
“He’s going to be able to use what the Democrats called the ‘red mirage’ in 2020,” added this person who, like others in this article, were granted anonymity to speak candidly.

A MAGA Senator trying to convince us Gen John Kelly is lying when he said Trump praised Hitler. Sen Haggerty claims to know Trump better than his longest serving Chief of Staff. He also said Trump only respects our troops. I wish John Berman had the clip ready where Trump dissed John McCain for being a POW.

Even in Canada I've gotten that.

Oh, OK, I couldn't parse that until just now. In Europe you have to pay for water in restaurants ...

I guess we will find out in a couple weeks whether polling accurately reflects this, as they've only tightened or trended towards Trump lately. I know Democrats are terminally anxious, but it seems like even the diehards are starting to worry now. Maybe Kamala should spend less time in Texas and Kentucky these last couple weeks. Texas is a mirage at all levels, seems like such an assinine move that may be overshadowed only by picking Walz over Shapiro (if she loses PA).

Walz went to KY to fundraise. Harris is going to Houston to generate earned media and she's flying right back to Michigan.

Probably a repeat of "stop the count" and "keep counting" depending on how things are going.

With the populations of Lousiville, Lexington, Henderson/Owensboro, Bowling Green and a few other places, KY will make a showing. I don't expect a win however.

Just like in 2020 they will use the delays in vote counting in PA to claim the election is being stolen despite Republicans explicitly refusing to allow PA to start counting mail in votes before election day.

The chaos is the point.
I thank my lucky stars I was not born the child of a Republican "leader."

It seems to me that Republicans are the ones who are worried about Allred in Texas. They don't want Kamala giving him a boost.

Yeah we heard this with Beto et al, and I'm sure it will be decently competitive, but Dems aren't winning there state wide or nationally.

Odds that they find a way for SCOTUS to step in and stop counting like in 2000?

Right now things are looking great for Democrats in Pennsylvania in regards to voting so far.
I live in PA and have a concern for the senate race, Casey - D v McCormick - R. Was feeling good because Casey for the last month had an 8-10 point lead. Checked 538 yesterday and all of a sudden McCormick up by 1. How did that happen?

I'm talking about early voting statistics in PA
Right now the Democrats are trouncing Republicans. Also as far as Nate silver goes he gives way too much weight to completely nonsense right-wing poles. I'll have to find the one I saw but it was calculating Trump gets 40% of the black vote, and just various other completely nonsensical methodology.

Couldn't be Casey's dynamic personality.

I'm so glad Tim Walz is like a Democrat anger-translator. Cause you know if Kamala did that people would say she's un-presidential or something, even though we all know it's true and want to say it. But Walz, being VP and a white guy, gets a pass.

So, keep going ballz to the Walz! 😎
And Walz IS presidential??? Mr. '"knucklehead"???? LMFAO What a putz.
