It's not just Nate Silver or RW pollsters. She is simply not expanding her lead, at all. Swing states have continued to narrow, albeit still within the MoE. Based on Clinton and Biden's national leads during the last cycle, her lead is simply not big enough.

Unless you are arguing that polling methodology is completely and utterly 100% off this cycle.
You're not looking at Patriot Polling are you?

You're not far off there.

I sometimes want kids but think
1. they're expensive..
2. they seem to be in a generation where the don't maintain contact with parental units
3. they seem to think of parental units as robots and atm machines rather than relationships.

So why bother with the hassle and pain, why not just be happy with disposable income instead?

Or if I'm an ATM machine, why not do what I really want instead?

I'm still in my 40's so still have time to change my opinion like Alec Baldwin.. think he had 1 child by the time he was 60 and 7 currently?
You gonna have to be filthy rich to afford breeding age when you're 60...

It's almost like polling doesn't necessarily reflect the voting base.

Well especially in the case of LV surveys they have to make choices about who they think is going to vote and that can be easy to get a bit wrong even if you are well intentioned. Small bumps in certain demos can create outsized effects that may or may not be real.

My position at this point based on averages especially of state polling is that it is a 2-3% national lead for Harris in an environment where the margin needed to win the EC may have declined from 2020. Is the election tight? Sure. Could Trump still win? Of course. Does the national political press have anything to do absent major scandals but slice and dice national surveys looking for bad news in the cross tabs that may not reflect reality? Not really..

They're busy sane washing fascists to make them appear "normal" and they seem to be succeeding.. when's the last time someone called them "Weird"?

There was a chance for Kam to completely destroy every poll.. if she had addressed this by planning to go after private equity firms and definite housing as a human right.

Instead the dems seem to have basically ignored this mess and the GOP deregulates it by design.

Instead what's on the news.. Israel Gaza Israel

The problem is it's too hard to defeat NIMBY-ism at the local level.

If Kamala tries to suggest any government-related housing controls (be it via attacking private equity, or suggesting rent or supply controls), she would get relentlessly attacked as a socialist (again).

The capitol will be a fortress. What can they do? They know that federal prisons await them if they destroy/kill. The big problem is the plans to challenge results in a multitude of places and ways, IMO.
Terrorism prefers soft targets. Such as the State and Local election officials. There is more to certifying the election than the one session of Congress. Any person not endorsing their altered reality is in danger of being targeted. Just look at the wave of death threats against FEMA and weather forecasters. That's just idle chatter compared to their need to wrest control of power.

Yeah, seems unlikely there will be a rerun of the Capitol assault, but rather it will be a disseminated quasi-legal/administrative assault on the process in a large number of places (perhaps with the odd outbreak of violence here-and-there also, but that will probably be a minor issue).

I also wouldn't put it past them to try outright vote-rigging themselves, now that they've worked themselves up into the frenzied conviction that 'the other side do it'.

They might not have succeeded in any of their legal shenanigans but they've likely successfully eradicated any trace of respect for the electoral process that existed within themselves.

That one word didn't resonate with me. So what? Frankly, I view Trump & Vance as extremely pernicious which supersedes weird in the extreme. Normal? Well, they are sociopathic assholes, which renders them minimally human, "abnormal" would characterize them fairly if you consider that they are incapable or sane human interactions.

The parts that scare me the most are:

- morally bankrupt
- without empathy
- easily seduced with no spine

People hated Obama because he was doing terrible things supposedly and they just survived somehow.. but he had enough empathy that he put in health insurance mandate that covered pre-existing conditions and weaned us off foreign oil by starting domestic fracking.

What exactly did Trump do in those 4 years that you still feel good about? Appoint judges that take away rights of 1/2 the population so they can supposedly control them sexually??

LOL!

Lemme break it to you MAGA trumpers who hate women:

The average 25 year old girl has slept with more people than a 50 year old woman. Why? She has access to facebook messenger, imessage, whatsapp, snapchat and instagram. She has access to all the validation from multiple men/ boys that a 50 year old woman never had. We're living in a completely different world from just a decade ago and you think somehow they'll be willing to give up their sexuality?

If I in my 30's could attract 500+ women easily for sex.. (not bragging.. just experience) and there are far better looking men than me.. The Right Wing Nut Jobs/ Incels are in complete denial thinking they can control women's sexuality!

Coincidentally this may be the one thing that saves us.. gen Z wanting their freedom. That's why I also feel the polls are wrong.. they don't count young voters accurately.

Edit: It's interesting how the MAGA at rallies seem to be the ages just before we had the internet explosion. Maybe the never got laid as much as xennials/ millenials or gen z and are age 50-64 incels. Sure seem to be the Trumpiest generation!

Maybe Walz was onto something.. they all seem to be running for chairman of He Man Womans Haters Club!

The Republican party has become one with Trump. The party has adopted his debilitating character traits and normalized it among themselves. As he is a sociopath, so have they become, along with every other vile personality disorder he possesses. It's Trump's supporter's way of accepting that mostrosity of a man for what he is. He is an aberration of every previously accepted social norm in the body politic.

Taking a step back and acquiring a freshed up view of what Trump has done to that party, I can't think of any other logical alternative such that so many millions of his fanatics still think Trump is America's answer to the world of what the other democracies of the world should aspire to. From that perpective, it becomes quite obvious how fatally wrong it is to install Trump as our head of state.

Trump's love of fascism and campaign of hatred against People of Color would suggest Nazi is an accurate description.

These things seem to be getting increasingly tenuous. Eventually we'll be down to "man arrested for looking at photo of Trump while in possession of an aggressive facial expression"

Up next, person of color claimed to have been looking in general direction of Trump convoy arrested by Trump brownshirts (and not heard from since)

Sad thing is he starts getting so crazy.. normal people just block him from their mind to make believe things aren't that crazy.

Then they find faults with Kam and think Trump is the savior.

Anyone else see this happening with their neighbors/ contacts?
