No, the country is not anti-child. Your political party is! Anti child - pro fetus. Once that child is born, it’s on its own.

It’s like the people who complain about how Christmas is so secularized now because they don’t go to church any more.

The way I see it is like this: plants are the new pets, pets are the new children, children are the new exotic pets. I see people with kids the way I see people with horses or alpacas at this point.

You're not far off there.

I sometimes want kids but think
1. they're expensive..
2. they seem to be in a generation where the don't maintain contact with parental units
3. they seem to think of parental units as robots and atm machines rather than relationships.

So why bother with the hassle and pain, why not just be happy with disposable income instead?

Or if I'm an ATM machine, why not do what I really want instead?

I'm still in my 40's so still have time to change my opinion like Alec Baldwin.. think he had 1 child by the time he was 60 and 7 currently?

Nothing in state or district polling indicates the electorate has moved 4 or 5 points nationally to Trump in the last month.

Likely voters are Trumpers and Never Trumpers.

This election will be decided by UNLIKELY voters.. do they hate Dems or do they hate Trump?

I would take Nate Silver and his buddies in the polls with a mountain of salt.

They predicted Trump in 2016 and made their name and money.. and verified it in 2020.

Now it seems they're more about keeping their money and might be seduced by tons of right wing pollsters or they're actively skewing polls themselves to the right.

It's not just Nate Silver or RW pollsters. She is simply not expanding her lead, at all. Swing states have continued to narrow, albeit still within the MoE. Based on Clinton and Biden's national leads during the last cycle, her lead is simply not big enough.

Unless you are arguing that polling methodology is completely and utterly 100% off this cycle.

I also think we can't compare Obama to Kamala.

Obama won 2 terms based on:
Term 1: economy was collapsing
Term 2: he got bin laden

Other than that.. going back to 2000.. the elections are really close nailbiters and we lost 3, won 1. We shouldn't panic over the polls. Just trust the process that 74% of people believe America is on the wrong track.

But who are they more pissed off at.. dems or Trump for causing the mess?

Republican derangement has. The most faithful of MAGA feed themselves handcrafted polls and other information telling tales of how Trump is going to win big. All 50 states big. And if anything else occurs it'll be due to a conspiracy to cheat and steal the election by Democrats. It is planting the seeds of stochastic terrorism for if they do not win an already "gaurenteed" election. One of MAGA's primary threads since 2020 has been that elections and American democracy are fake. So they are the heroes if they fix replace our Democracy.

Beware the zealous fervor they whip MAGA into. It is an effort to get them to act violently. To go far beyond Jan 6th.

The capitol will be a fortress. What can they do? They know that federal prisons await them if they destroy/kill. The big problem is the plans to challenge results in a multitude of places and ways, IMO.

There was a chance for Kam to completely destroy every poll.. if she had addressed this by planning to go after private equity firms and definite housing as a human right.

Instead the dems seem to have basically ignored this mess and the GOP deregulates it by design.
