Winrar does not use quicksync and if they where using quicksync in mediaespresso then the celeron would have a much faster result.

Looking for a cpu with the fastest IGP possible,one of the cheapest motherboards for it and pairing it with a CX430 or similar priced psu.Maybe overkill but a year or 2 down the road my 660 will end up in there.

Skylake G4500 at least from my Newegg and amazon price hunts would suck up the whole budget and i would have to most likely get one of the more expensive Asrock Combo H110 motherboards that supports both ddr3/ddr4 to get the most out of HD530 either way.Don't got funds this very second for memory to would be stuck pairing a 4gb ddr3 1333 1.5v stick to it till i could afford some ddr4 2133.

When i was sitting at about $130,the choice ended up obviously being the 5400k but other options certainly have showed up with $200 to spend.🙂

You don't need anything faster than a HD 530 to play those games at the resolution you mentioned, even Celeron G1820 would do the trick and Skylake's iGPU is more than twice as fast. With Pentium G4500 or Core i3-6100 you're getting better CPU performance (overall) for other tasks, it also helps pushing that Geforce GTX660 or faster dGPUs you might use in the future (especially if you keep your current monitor).

Looks like the OP has some reasonable options now,looking at those quick parts lists I did off Newegg. I suspect they might be able to do better if there are some deals at Amazon and Micro Center.

Yea, I would like to see the benchmark for that Kabini running WinRAR and Witcher 3 simultaneously, or even one of the single module APUs. Personally, just seems absurd to me to run a heavy productivity app during a cpu demanding game no matter how powerful the processor. Its like running a stock car race with a thousand pounds of excess weight in the back seat.

But the AMD fans have to try to figure out some way to justify FX I guess.

That Intel build i nearly configured myself last night but i had added 8gb of DDR3 1333 instead of the gt740.Outside of the 7600 set up above,these were the 2 best options and the IGP of the 7600 had won me over.

I already ran my i5 2500 non k and 660 with a single stick of 4gb ram and CSGO/WOT/Wizard 101 and Borderlands 2 which are all titles i play currently ran perfectly fine.All titles ran well enough with 2 threads enabled as well at 2.6Ghz.All titles run under the 1gb vram usage as well with settings i use even on my 660.

Willing to bet a G1820 and gt740 would outrun the 7600 by a far bit.Beautiful digging bud.:thumbsup:

No problems,I am UK based so was not sure if there were cheaper websites in the USA - Newegg is well known. I also came to the same conclusion that the Celeron and a GT740 GDDR5 or even that R7 360(which is a tier above) would probably do better overall in games. I think the A8 7600 is probably better for a more general purpose build with some gaming on the side,and should do better at multi-tasking but that GT740 GDDR5 and the cheap R7 360 after rebate,kind of shook things up.

At least from my quick scan of gaming performance - the AMD A8 IGP should be able to outdo the GT730 and probably be close to the GT740 GDDR3. However,the GT740 GDDR5 should be faster and the R7 360 there is no contest.

Thanks bud for posting your WOT videos showing the G1820 and gtx650.I knew about the 650 having had one some time ago but posting on what that G1820 can do certainly sets the build into motion now.

To many garbage videos on youtube,yours honestly ended up being the most useful i could find with all the hours of searching i did.The IGP videos made it look bad enough that others did and it was where in frustration the 7600 looked like the real option.

I rather have a dedicated gpu over a IGP if the budget allows.I was under the impression that cards like the GDDR5 GT740 were well over $60 and certainly not a option with the little i have to spend.Checking of course your mostly getting DDR3 based GT 740 cards till you hit $90.I wont buy refurbished stuff.

Luckily enough that MSI GT 740 1GB is the only affordable GDDR5 card.It would have been certainly a 7600 build and the one you actually posted above just about.
 
The GT740 GDDR5 is a rebadged GTX650 GDDR5 FYI,and TheELF used a GTX650 2GB GDDR5 so you already have a good idea of playability with WoT. I think WoT does use around 1GB of VRAM at 1080p at VHQ,but you can always turn down one or two texture settings.

Also,that MSI GT740 GDDR5 is a bit hidden for some reason,but its pretty cheap for what you are getting.

Yeah i had recalled the big difference a GT 740 card would offer but i am surprised it really is that big.😱 This is honestly my first low budget build since my E4500 combo deal at Frys back in 2007.😀 I have found this stuff more interesting then even the higher end stuff as for $200 a i5 IS the only option.

$140 for a 7870k right now,even at full retail prices a G3258 and the GT 740 still could be had for nearly the same amount if you account for the cheaper memory prices for DDR3 1333/1600 over 2133 or 2400 for your APU.😱

I guess if someone really wants 4 threads and a decent IGP,the 7870k would work out better but with such a low end gpu chances are more times then not the IGP would be the bottleneck or the IGP is playing lower end games where a G1820+gt 740 would be better off for the price.The games pushing 4 threads honestly would run crappy enough on the IGP for me anyways.

Having had a 1gb 650 before,even games as demanding as BF4 and GTA V which i own and play only have playable frame rates with settings that use under 1gb anyways upwards of 1366x768.CSGO/COD BO2/WOT and other titles certainly use under 1gb and have huge playable framerates upwards of 1080p.

Wifes monitor and gaming resolution till she gets my 660 will be 1024x768.May end up with a 720p t.v sooner or later before that but the G1820 if anything would be the biggest issue.🙂

Thanks for that link, I picked up a couple for builds. Seems around $20-30 cheaper than any other cards. Newegg had some others on their ebay site, for around the same price, but they were all factory refurbs. This was the only new one in that price range.

Edit: OT, I know, but how does the GT740 (==GTX650?) compare to a GTX460 1GB card? I guess the GTX460 would have more memory bandwidth.

I did suggest the R7 360 and the R7 265 for $100,but I don't know whether the OP wants to spend more than $200 even if the rebates would knock it under $200.

First off all the results are from the Core i7 6700K, the Pentium HD530 is 10-20% slower.

Secondly, they used DDR-4 2666MHz memory on the Core i7 and only 1866MHz on the A8-7600.

Thirdly, no driver version to be found anywhere. That is because they used the original February 2014 A8-7600 review results in the Core i7 6700K review posted on September 2015. That makes them 1000 times more credible than me 🙄

Also, those games are more than 5 years old (Crysis released 2007, Resident Evil 5 demo released on 2008 etc) with many of them being DX-9/10 which are more CPU bound than iGPU at 1600x900.

In newer games (DX-11/ Mantle and DX-12) that really need more iGPU performance, the Kaveri A8-7600 iGPU is 30-50% faster than HD530 found on the Core i3 6300 when both are using 2133MHz Memory.
