K8N Neo4 Ultra, Audigy2 Issue??!

Hey all had my system running great, 270x10 HTT4x Ram 1:1, benched fine, stress tested 72hours no reboots, seemed perfect. Yesterday I decided to install an Audigy2 I got as the built in sound seemed twangy and subpar. Upon reboot seemed normal, then itunes caused a freeze with visualization at large, I rebooted not sure what was up and low and behold any moving image with sound caused a crash, 3dmark without sound was fine though. I decreased my FSB to 260 and this went away and everything si normal again.

Also, my HD started having problems, so I turned NCQ off, and not only are the probs gone, but my speed increased from 50mb/s to 67mb/s??!!!! WTF I thought NCQ should be faster?

Weird huh.

That's interesting. I installed an Audigy 2 from the get go with my system and I've been getting weird bsods when opening 3D apps (3DMark01-05, games, etc.) while ocing. Maybe I'll try and remove my card and see if that helps.

I initially had trouble with Audigy stuff crashing my nV chipset drivers at startup, found out the culprit was a file called SBDrvDet.exe. All it does is detect whether the Audigy Platinum front panel unit is present. I ran msconfig, disabled it, no more trouble.

No luck, seemed to work, but crashed durring stability check and 3dmark 05(much harder on my sys than 01/03).

I removed drivers, took the card out, reactivated the ac97 and everything is normal again.

🙁

I am so sad, this blows, audio is so average with the onboard and I lose 200MHz if I put the Audigy in.
ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH
