Hello!
After scouring the net for information on new motherboards and what to buy and all the stuff thats new and out on the market, I found this place.
You people rock! Period!
I saw a recent question and the person could not provide pictures to the heatsink and how it fit on the K8N Neo 2 motherboard. Well after reading post upon post here I decided to buy a K8N and a Athlon 64 3500+.
due to my budget, and figured I hopefully can help in a small way for all the people that have posted and helped me.
Thermalright says their XP-120 heatsink will not fit this motherboard, but it actually does.
There is only one cap that comes close and it is almost touching it, but it is still not touching it.
Pictures of my mobo and XP-120
I had to remove the stock plastic square around the cpu and replace it with the one that comes with the XP-120. Simple... 2 screws.
Replace it and the clip the heatsink down with a screwdrive and a set of pliers.
Hope this helps!
Peace!
