does kmart sell music? walmart has a decent music selection, but they only sell censored discs. target has the worst music selection, it's all new stuff they don't even carry The Beatles or Led Zeppelin

<< Good, they aren't that great anyway. Target is sooo much better 🙂 >>

Another thumbs up for Target. Gotta love their laid back 90 day no questions asked return. Although their employees aren't the brightest people. I mean plenty of cute guys and girls working there, but man they're clueless.

Super K-Mart ROCKS
Big-K's SUCK ASS!

The Super-K here in Burlington is HUGE and it competes with the Walmart SuperCenter. Both have a full-size/full-service grocery store inside (Walmart also has a Little Ceasers, Super-K has a McDonalds). The Super-K also has its own brand gas station outside (with a HUGE digital display that shows the current gas price). They have SUPER low prices and all the local gas stations are PISSED! 😀

Big-K's just suck a royal FAT ONE! They are dirty, nasty, unstocked, understaffed piece of trash stores to go to. I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION. DIE BIG-K DIE!!!

Sounds like you've been visiting the Kmart's up here in MA recently😉

KMart is a bit ghetto, I'll admit, but the only other option in the near vicinity is Meijer, which is like a big maze experiment, it takes an hour to find ANYTHING in that store. We have a Target, but it's so small...they don't carry hardly anything.
I wish we had a walmart nearby, they're at least organized, and they have great selection.

not too mention the big-k near us have 60% of its merchandise without a price tag. Big pain in the ass. But I still prefer it to walmart which now sells more cheap low quality crap now.

I guess I work at one of the good K-marts; it's anything but ghetto; a few weeks ago we had district managers in there to see what we're doing right. (still a surprise though)
That'll suck though if they go out. They're the only store of that kind within 15 miles of my house. (K-mart itself is 13; the next closest is even further.)

So then what, people rip off the tags and then get 60% off?
Also, right after Christmas, we got TONS of clothing returns. Guess what - almost all of them had the tags ripped off, so for the next week or two we had constant price checks on clothing because of no tags. We also get price checks because people can't read obvious signs; but of course, some signs are deceptive. Retail sux I guess. 😉

K-Mart is suck. Dirty, ugly stores with poor inventory control, senseless diversions (K-Mart Pantry? WTF were they thinking?), many low-quality product lines, LONG cashier lines, just poopy clientele. Wal-Mart may be a little more redneck, but at least it's comfortable and homey.

They should plow all the K-Marts under and replace them with Fry's.

We have Super K's in Michigan, they rocked when they first came out.

There was this Dean's veggie dip for chips and such. Awesome.

k-marts management is old and they don't understand business very well, at Walmart where I work, we move merchandise like there's no tommorrow. If something isn't selling in it's sixth month introductory period, it is clearanced and no longer carried. If I walk into K-mart, it would be easy to find something that has been sitting on the shelves for 5 years and I'm not being sarcastic.

I use K-Mart blue light for my internet provider(cheap, but very good 56k access. I only pay 8bucks a month), I suppose if they file chapter 11 I will have to be looking for a new provider.:disgust:

<< K-mart would be better if the stores were clean and the floors weren't 20 different shades of white. >>

and the if the aisles weren't cluttered with stock and misplaced items.
>>

you guys notice that too? damm, I always just thought it was my local kmart. Seriously, I'll go in there sometimes and 1/4 of the aisles are completely blocked, DVDs are NEVER organized, they dont have the self-scan price things, and their selection sucks.

i hope they go out of business. serves em damm right.

I shop at K-mart for only one thing: shoes. For whatever reason, they are the only source of cheap shoes in my town, and the next town is 350 miles away (because I'm in the center of Alaska).

But they recently added a grocery store BUT THEY DIDN"T REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MERCHANDISE IN THE FREAKING STORE. They just shoved everything closer together, I kid you not. I get angry just trying to walk from one place to another in that ghetto (I like that term for the place). The place is a freaking mess and every low class citizen converges on that place all at once whenever I'm there.

<< k-marts management is old and they don't understand business very well >>

This is because KMart had a long-standing policy of promoting only from within. While that sounds all warm, fuzzy and motivational in theory, in reality it's a disaster for most large corporations. Inbred management results in the death of open-mindedness, creativity and competitive drive.

tough call, kmart has good prices but i do want a fry's close by

Employees who dont give a flying f even when they can be bothered to come into work, dirty disorganized stores, Items ring up wrong all the time, no stock for any of the sale items.........

Hmmmm I wonder why Target, Meijer and Wally World rock them

Guys, remember, this is Chapter 11, not 7. All K-Mart would be doing is a reorganization, which would at most, encompas a few stores closing. Chapter 7 is when K-Mart goes under, Chapter 11 just means Rosie won't be doing ads for a while(which is almost as good anyways🙂).
