Justice Clarence Thomas hospitalized 'after experiencing flu-like symptoms'

I was a always a little surprised he didn’t retire under Trump since he was getting up there. Wanted to demolish Roe too badly I guess.

FWIW, lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court ought to be a thing of the past. IMHO it would make more sense to have staggered 18-year terms so that (at least) one justice is replaced every two years.
I think it should be a 11 member court, with a 22 year term, but same concept.

So a two term president could assign 4 members to the SCOTUS? That would be scary.
