I haven't seen "the village".

I have seen "I, Robot". It was poorly written.

I have to say that you're wrong about the Villiage.

agreed, I dont think the intent of The Village was to be scary. If you look at it as if it wasnt supposed to be scary its a pretty good movie

The Village wasn't that bad. But knowing the writer's style I figured out what was going on long before you actually find out in the movie.

Here's a spoiler: Will Smith is one of the worst actors of our time, and his Oscar "nomination" was a nod to Ali, not him.

Sorry, now you know the ending.

Village was ok....but the ending seemed so tacky it was laughable. I liked the twist, but the ending cinematography and charachters seemed tacked on from another movie.

I Robot was a decent time-killer, but was horribly written and acted.

Village started off good but got junky & lame. 2/5

I Robot was mindless entertainment with Bridget Moynahan (sp?). 3/5

Sixth Sense 5/5 (loved it)
Signs... 3.5/5 (enjoyable)

If you look at it from the perspective that all of that guys movies are the same piece of crap, you will realize the truth.

Blind girl part was silly I agree but otherwise I liked the village a lot.

They (the elders) sent the blind girl because they hoped (and as it worked out) she didn't see the real world and returned without knowing the full truth. So nobody else would know either and they could continue the lies.

I thought it was a good movie. Nothing fantastic, but it flowed well and the end was a good twist. I know some people claim they figured it out at the beginning of the movie, but most people are surprised.
