Didn't really want to watch it, but I did anyway.

I was very surprised. The first 30 minutes were very predictable, just like I thought it would be (and like the previews showed). He uses remote, slight humor, etc.

But after that, it actually got really really good. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't continue.

It pretty much turned into a drama, very well acted by Sandler and a decent story.

What did you guys think of it who saw it?

FFS we have a thread about how Click surprised someone every week.

And the consensus always was, "Yes I enjoyed it also."

And, I always respond with my opinion:

All click is, was a way for Adam Sandler to try and expand his acting capabilities, just like all actors do when they are only known for being able to portray one type of character. The movie would have been better with someone else in the lead role.

I had tears in my eyes when it was over, I'll admit. It's a very powerful movie and kinda opens your eyes to disregarding the things in life that really matter in favor of material gains.

Like the 50,000 other movies that have basically the same story line and message?

Eh, I went into it expecting a comedy, it started out somewhat comedic and went to a drama... that kind of killed it, but it wasn't a bad movie.

Well, if there really were a bunch of Click threads in the past, sorry.

Anyway, I almost got a little tear near the end but I held it in 🙂

I concur. I was thoroughly shocked by how good it was. I was sick of how formulaic his movies were, but this one had a real point to it, I liked it.

Are you serious? Formulaic? This movie hopped aboard the cliche train first class and did not get off until the end of the track.

Yeah, it was a goofy story, but I laughted (the "Hoff" was a RIOT- the fart scene had me LOLing). However, it quickly turned and became heartwrenching, providing a good moral to the story.

Another movie that was like that was Signs. The plot line was full of holes, it had all these loose ends, but in the end it had a suprise that tied everything up and really made you think "There's a reason for everything".

I'm a big fan of movies like that.

Not really (IMO).
I thought near the beginning when he laid on the bed that it'd be a dream, but by the time end of movie came, so much happened I forgot about it, plus it totally seemed like he woke up at the beginning.

How ironic that I saw this thread, watching the movie as we speak.

So far, so good!

EDIT: Just finished it up - great movie!! Probably one of the best Sander has done!
