Just watched "Click"

It's good, for the simple fact that it has Adam Sandler, David Hasselhoff, and Kate Beckinsale... and then managed to pull a serious drama / tear-jerker.

It went from "lol, Sandler" to "Mmm Beckinsale is hot..." to "rofl, what's Hasselhoff doing here?" to 🙁 and then /tear.

Funny, I just watched Click the other night. I liked it. Could have done without the swearing and dog/duck stuff, but good moral. Christopher Walken ftw! Love the quotes too -

"Is he really my dad??"

"I hate that man!"

"Robo-dog!!"

😀

Was it just me who laughed when adam cried near the end? I didnt like the movie. Very predictable plot and jokes... Fart jokes?? Come on... that is so third grade crap

Didn't really want to watch it, but I did anyway.

I was very surprised. The first 30 minutes were very predictable, just like I thought it would be (and like the previews showed). He uses remote, slight humor, etc.

But after that, it actually got really really good. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't continue.

It pretty much turned into a drama, very well acted by Sandler and a decent story.

What did you guys think of it who saw it?

I concur. I was thoroughly shocked by how good it was. I was sick of how formulaic his movies were, but this one had a real point to it, I liked it.

Im in the same boat, it was a fantastic movie in comparison to many of his others.

Yeah Kate Beckinsale was looking good in that movie.

I liked how it skipped and his life kept f'ing up, made it more interesting/drama

The movie was decent and one of Sandler's better movies but it was predictable but GOD DAMN KATE BECKINSALE IS SO DAMN HOT IN ANYTHING SHE DOES!!!!!!

FFS we have a thread about how Click surprised someone every week.

And the consensus always was, "Yes I enjoyed it also."

And, I always respond with my opinion:

All click is, was a way for Adam Sandler to try and expand his acting capabilities, just like all actors do when they are only known for being able to portray one type of character. The movie would have been better with someone else in the lead role.

uh...he did that in 2002 with Punch Drunk Love-- and it is a much better movie and performance.

If you haven't, you should see Reign Over Me. Great movie, and Sandler did a great job in the role.

Punch Drunk Love was a very different type of movie from Click, though. Both were decent movies. Really, if you want to talk about variation for Sandler, you could even throw 50 First Dates in as a type of move away from his old school comedies.

Complete drivel!

Movie had no suprises, the suprise would have been if it remained a comedy and Sandler learned no life lessons. I would have enjoyed them exploring the power of the remote more than the sappy junk they filled the screen with.

It was unbearable to me and one of the worst films I have seen as there was nothing new in it. Rehased crap!

Sandler in the future, in a fat suit, yeah thats gold!
