No, it's not just addiction. I was talking to a friend of mine afterwards who was heavy into this stuff. He said the high was good and the trips were fun. Personally, that doesn't look fun to me, and I don't see how anyone could think it is.

I understand the movie, I just don't understand why people would let themselves get addicted to these things.

Yea, all these things, escapism, peer pressure, societal pressure...

The movie to me was deep to say the least. Most people find movies such as these hard to watch, and hard to get into, because if they have not personally experienced something like that on that level in their life... it is hard to relate to.

Just like the movie Trainspotters some people didn't care for that movie much either for the same reasons

Marion wanted to go into design, but she was hooked on the heroin, the s3x was for money to get more heroin. like when harry asked marion to goto that dude from Pi and get money from him to get more heroin...
