And man what a sweet ride! I usually hate SUVs but I was impressed with this caddy. I've always liked the exterior, and the interior was pretty light on the cheap plastic, the stereo was good and i liked the little touches like the Bvlgari clock. The accelleration wasn't that great, which is what I expected, but it got up to 70 pretty quickly. The steering wheel was sweet, and it generally felt like I was taking up both lanes on some back country roads that I was on. It's either this or a Corvette Z06...

such a tough choice... and unless it has been fixed, there is a loophole in taxes that lets you write off half the price of any car over a certain weight... cant remember how heavy exactly but i know the escalade is heavy enough. A doctor my dad works with did this, bought an H2 and wrote off half the price as a deductable

yeah, it was something about the weight being over xxx pounds so that the farmers could get some amount of money back on the farm vehicles (which weigh a lot)...there was an article on here a while ago talking about that

I'll go do some checking, but that sounds pretty hard to believe.

Hardly, you would get back whatever taxes you would have paid on the amount you deducted.

You have to be self-employed to pull it off though.

Escalade, don't forget the 26s.
They can fit 28"s.

i doubt it. brother in law of a friend has one with 22's, and they scrape the inside of the wheelwells in tight turns.
They fit 28"s. I don't know why the 22"s rub, my friend has 24"s on his EXT and they dont rub.

I don't know... the EXT is a little sketchy. I mean, c'mon. Would you drive a car that slices in half so easily?

Yeah I realize the 06 and EXT are on different extremes, but both are badass and cost about the same, and the EXT could be used all year round with the crappy seasons we have up here in NY. The mileage sucks on the EXT (16 highway) but I guess economy isnt the main reason to buy one of these things. Now all I need is to get enough friends to fill it..
