So I was sitting at a red light in a 2002 Q45. This smartass in a Boxster pulls up alongside and begins revving. I look over at him, and he points ahead, like let's race! The light turned green and he was quickly eating my dust. LOL, that felt really good. Just wanted to share. :)

What? You doubt the power of my 115hp engine? My 3 speed automatic transmission? Oh some day you will learn...you will learn the power of a car with an 18 second 0-60 time.

I was referring to NeuroSynapsis. You think your car could make it to NYC? Perhaps we could work something out. :) ;)

When will people realize that Porsche's are built to drag, but to race.

Since driving is more than straight-line stoplight tag, he'd have dropped you like a bad habit when you actually had to negotiate a curve or two.

You are assuming he knows a bit about how to drive. The Q handles really well at high speed around curves n' stuff too. I wish it was my car.

It's soo much fun pulling off the highway @ 75mph & not slowing down for the exit ramp that says "25mph" as your friend in the passenger seat feels the need to change his diaper.

I'll beat both the Boxter and Q45 off the line with stock WRX, and have 10+ grand left in my pocket to play with :)

And I also be able to hold my own at a race track

I just noticed your avatar over at your forums. A bit of a Porsche fanboy? ;)

It costs to have a Car that is aesthetically pleasing. The WRX might out perform the others but it is one fugly looking car.

Honestly didn't even like them all that much (although I had a thing for the 993, still do) untill I looked @ getting a new car. They're really nice, well-rounded cars, well the late-80's - early 90's ones. Not a big fan of the pre-85 ones, and the newer ones (996, Boxster) have crappy interiors, but the late 80's, early 90's ones are awesome.

It's such a change after going from the other cars I've owned (Daewoo, Dodge, Chevy), especially when you try to work on them. I think I could take my whole car apart with a wrench & screwdriver, whereas something like a Ford is held together almost entirely with clips & glue or some other kind of weird release that needs a special tool. Being handbuilt really is helpful ;).

eh, that's an opinion. I personally think it's a pretty sweet looking car. The taillights could use a little work...don't like the whole center slant & it looks a lot beter with the projector headlights, but other than that it's a nice car.
