Since driving is more than straight-line stoplight tag, he'd have dropped you like a bad habit when you actually had to negotiate a curve or two.
It's soo much fun pulling off the highway @ 75mph & not slowing down for the exit ramp that says "25mph" as your friend in the passenger seat feels the need to change his diaper.
I just noticed your avatar over at your forums. A bit of a Porsche fanboy?
Honestly didn't even like them all that much (although I had a thing for the 993, still do) untill I looked @ getting a new car. They're really nice, well-rounded cars, well the late-80's - early 90's ones. Not a big fan of the pre-85 ones, and the newer ones (996, Boxster) have crappy interiors, but the late 80's, early 90's ones are awesome.
It's such a change after going from the other cars I've owned (Daewoo, Dodge, Chevy), especially when you try to work on them. I think I could take my whole car apart with a wrench & screwdriver, whereas something like a Ford is held together almost entirely with clips & glue or some other kind of weird release that needs a special tool. Being handbuilt really is helpful
