yeah its pretty damn fugly...makes me think that people will buy anything if its fast. Soon we'll be seeing 400 hp rally-inspired terds on wheels.

Hmmm, I don't think the guy shopping for the Q45 would even consider a WRX.

Too bad it was a regular Boxster. A Boxster S would have smoked your ass. The regular Boxster is $41,000 while the Boxster S is around $50,000. That being said, the Q45 is sales disaster for Nissan. I'd be surprised to see it last much longer.

It's soo much fun pulling off the highway @ 75mph & not slowing down for the exit ramp that says "25mph" as your friend in the passenger seat feels the need to change his diaper.
Love that. The 914 handles that sort of thing very nicely. Lift off the gas a little and the nose tucks right in. All this in a 26 year old car with 165 series tires. :) Glad that 944 is working out for you. It's a fun little machine, isn't it? :D

It may not sell well, but it sure is one sweet ride.

EDIT: and why the "too bad"? You want to see me get smoked? ;)

My Volvo 850 R..er..correction..my LITTLE SISTER'S Volvo 850 R will 0wN all of you kiddies' cheap crap cars! Me and my dad just sunk $1200 into it to fix up a bunch of stuff (steering, front suspension, various electrical crap)...also added Eibach springs, better air intake for the turbo, and Z-rated tires for the 17" wheels. This baby (140,000 miles) has come ALONG way since the day I picked it up (back then I drove it around with a bad sparkplug for months--only using 4-cylinders of a 5-cyl engine!)

Volvo 850-R does 0-60 in ~ 6.7 seconds. Even with a better intake, you're not gonna get THAT much better accleration.

Boxster, 0-60 in 5.9 - 6.0 seconds
Boxster S, 0-60 in 5.2 seconds
Q45, 0-60 in 5.9 - 6.1 seconds

Your 850-R would be sucking exhaust

front/left view <-- I could do with a smaller hood scoop and a much more conservative spoiler...but that's tolerable, I suppose :p
