picked up the gps unit at staples.

$150 + tax.

fvcking store managers and employees are absolutely retarded.

They were directing people to the aisles when the products were all either behind hte register or the back room.
A lot of the people in front of the line didn't even get what they were waiting in line for.

Just got back from 4 stores...

BB: got there @ 3am, there were already ~100 people in line at a new BB in Charlotte, NC out in the boonies. Got the 17" LCD Mag monitor for $79 for the parents, got the $15 Bluetooth headset for me, and go a $19.99 Canon Pixma photo printer/scanner/copier. Also, note to you soccer mommies: "IF THERE ARE 250 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF YOU IN LINE, YOU PROBABLY ARENT' GOING TO GET AN LCD TV ON SALE WHEN THERE ARE ONLY 15 OR SO IN THE STORE. Same goes for $250 laptops and $1k panny plasmas. Complaining to a busy manager will accomplish nothing."

officemax: 2gig USB thumbdrive for $24.99...meh, will probably give away as a gift

Target: 2 of the $28 ipod clock radios (black Jensens, one for Mom, one for wife's office), and a standing jewelry armoire that my wife wants for $66 (normally $100)

Home Depot: 12v Skil cordless drill for $19.99 (will expense to my company and keep in the garage :)), 5.8ghz phones w/ 2 handsets and digital ans. machine for $36

Back home for shower and coffee and to pick the wife up and go hit the mall :Q

Not the best BF ever, but it was a fun one in the cold with some cool strangers. Good luck everyone!

Avoid Fry's at all cost.

I was at Brokaw fry's in san jose.

Line snakes and goes around store to other side of business park.

It'll be hours before getting in, and another hour or two to get out.

You think that's bad, just wait for the day after Christmas sale there.

Last year's day after christmas I had no problems what so ever, it was just like a normal day. Heck I even stopped by Circuit city on the way home from fry's and there was like 5 people in line. we all went for the cheap dvds.

Got back from best buy at about 6am

Danvers, MA Bestbuy

I arrived at 3am and there was atleast 1000 People. I waited stupidly.

5am rolls around there had to be 2000 people.

I get inside, they let everyone in. Everything worth buying sold out before I got in.

I grabbed one of the canon printers onsale and found the checkout line... Come to realize the checkoutline went up and down every cd\dvd isle and around into the stereo section then up and down the appliances. I dropped what i had and left.

I will never Black Friday shop again.

My father did get the Sony Bravia 40" at CC though.

Left at 5:20, home at 7:30. Got everything I was looking to buy.

Home Depot - got the 2 garage door openers for daughter's new house reg. $130, $87 ea.
Staples - got the Maxtor 200GB drive reg $120 for $20. Also laminator reg $40, FAR and surge protector strip reg $11, FAR.
CompUSA - got the Memorex DVD+R printables 50pk reg. $29.99 for $10.

Added to the Circuit City stuff I bought online yesterday - external dual-layer DVD burner $29.99 AR, some XBox 360 games, teaching calculator FAR, eletronics vacuum FAR, I saved over $400 for a little over 2 hrs and one online order. That's the way I like it.

In most cases there were plenty of the items I was looking for. Staples was in the process of restocking items when I was there. CompUSA had tables full of some items - they have a wireless router and adapters for $1.99 ea. AR that there must still have been 100 of ea. left. I guess it helped that I wasn't going for the $250 laptops or the LCDs.

I'll be going to Home Depot in a bit. Nothing really caught my eye this year. I'll hit up Gamestop too for the buy 2 get 1 free used games. Nobody buys Gamecube games so there's no rush. :p

The rest of the people were just standing against the wall or were sitting on the ground with jackets on.

At least half were female and middle-aged. The rest were youngish guys.

Are you suggesting there will be a spike in births from this? :p

I'd wanted to go to BB to get that panasonic recorder for my son but it was pouring rain and freezing here. I stayed at home and had a lovely evening with my family.I'll snip off great xmas deals from the comfort of my computer chair with the help of gottadeal.com :)

My CC was packed this morning. I drove by Compusa, BB, Target, and Officemax, and all of them were packed. My CC opened at 5, and I thought that was a little too nuts, so I got there around 630...bad idea. It probably would have been worse at BB, as I was passing by there was a huge crowd out front.

There had to have been at least a thousand people at BB last night around 11pm. They had been lining up since early morning on the 23rd, idiots. The line went in front of a Michael's store and around the building, possibly all the way to the back. I declined to wait in line and got there this morning at 6am. Everything I wanted was naturally sold out, so I only got a couple things, 2 tv shows on DVD for $20/ea and got my sister an iPod for xmas. Oh and I got myself a copy of GoW. :D

Oh yea, and there was a group of 3 people who had 1 each of the $80 17in LCD and the $200 22" LCD monitors. Shouldn't be allowed, one per group! :|

We just got back from a 4 hour shopping expedition and I've got some work to do then catch a nap.

We only bought a few things but quite a few rebates to deal with :(
