isnt it true that if u cover ur face with either the sun visor or ur hand, they cant give u a ticket because they cant prove it's you driving?

that's one of the loopholes i heard with cameras.

I doubt it.

No, The owner of the vehicle is responsible for the vehicle, so you will recieve a no demerit ticket in the mail.

The way they usually work, depending on your area, is they have for example 15 camera boxes, and 8 cameras. So they just Cycle them around.

The cameras turn on as soon as the light turns red, so any movement through the light will be caught as a shot.

Also, someone explain to me, if the camera takes a picture of the REAR of your car, how would it EVER get a picture of your face. This is pure bullshit.....

Multiple cameras and angles.

Stoplight cameras? Not usually, the cost is high as is.

I've never seen 3 cameras that were tied together at a light.

Usually they don't have more then one camera at a intersection.

o you will recieve a no demerit ticket in the mail.

Means no points on your license. Just a fine.

in ontario, the owner of the plates gets the ticket. doesn't matter how good the shot of your face is.

Do those things record all day?
Do they have someone go through all the footage of all the cameras all day? How does that work?

Probably triggered by motion sensors/magnetics.

Then wouldn't any motion trigger the camera to take pictures? All day?
Or do the cameras merely take picture from 0-5 seconds after the light turns red?

my guess would be that the camera is only on when the light is red, maybe yellow or somewhere between yellow and red. that way, they only get pics of people going through it while red or whatever. just my guess.

That would be how they'd likely do it.

Light = green, motion detector off, Light = red, motion detector on, *snap*, Zysoclaplem pwned.
