After looking at so many cars (TC, Mazda 3, Impreza) I found myself still looking at the Mini Cooper. So my gf and I ordered one yesterday.

Here's what I got,

Mini Cooper
Chili Red w/white top, mirror and wheels
5spd Manual
Premium Package (Sunroof, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Multifunction Steering Wheel)

The only accessories I'm getting for it are floor mats and an alarm system.

Update: Well, I was just looking around the owner's lounge and was tracking the Mini, apparently it's been built and awaiting to be transported. Much to my surprise (It was slated for March production, not January)! So I'm guessing it'll be here early April. Which is cool.!

Both my MC and my MCS came with floor mats free. Where'd you buy from? Not over sticker, I hope.

If he ordered direct from factory, he has to pay sticker, doesn't he?

Yup, I just got in for March production (Late April delivery). It actually added up to be less that what I got from the Mini's website.

Sweet! I'm going to be ordering a convertible S here in the next few months. Have fun with it!

That is because the website is reflecting prices that go into affect for cars built after Jan. 1. You got the pre-increase price.

So when's she due? I loved tracking it from beginning to end.

Late April, here in Denver the Mini Cooper is still heavy backordered.

I'm 5'11 at first my head was touching the ceiling, but I just lowered the seat, and it wasn't a problem. As for the backseat looked like there as much legroom as you would see in a coupe. Not too shabby.

I think it can be positioned to comfortably fit someone up to 6'5". At 5'9", I have to put the seat forward a good ways to touch the pedals.

Yeah, it's got plenty of room. I'm 6'2" and the seat can be lowered to give me a good 3-4" of headroom

Convertibles have actually not been selling as well as anticipated, but that is because they released it in the fall. When I picked up my MCS in Oct. they have 3 verts in stock and available for pickup. Now that the wait time will be in sync with spring, they are going to sell a lot better

The Mini dealer in Denver wanted $500 now to get in line to order and another $500 when you actually order. With the wait right now it'll be summertime before anyone gets their Mini Convertible

Im still considering this car for myself, but the lack of a trunk is the biggest holdback for me.

When i go home and visit my parents, we typically fill up my Passat.....

on another note, i don't think the normal version should be called MINI Cooper, and the sport version be called MINI Coooper S. i think the normal should be MINI, and the sport be MINI Cooper.

If you just travel by yourself or with another person, you can fold the seats back and have a decent amount of cargo space.
