YAY NOW THE COLTS CAN GO THROUGH THE AFC EASIER

They had it easy until the end.

Now that the rest of the AFC understands the Colt's weakness's, it will be mulitple chairs this season.

Damn, that was pretty stupid of him. He may have ended his career and now my Steelers are gonna suck again.

It looks like he's physically going to be OK and may not miss much football. It looks like that "bump" on the head knocked some sense into him.

CNN SI
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Ben Roethlisberger apologized to the Pittsburgh Steelers, fans and his family on Thursday, hours after being released from a hospital, saying he was fortunate to be alive and pledging to wear a helmet if he ever again rides a motorcycle.

"In the past few days, I've gained a new perspective on life," the Super Bowl-winning quarterback said in a statement released by the team. "By the grace of God, I'm fortunate to be alive ... "
Dude, don't mistake divine intervention for luck . . . you were damn lucky.

"I never meant any harm to others nor to break any laws," Roethlisberger said. "I was confident in my ability to ride a motorcycle and simply believed such an accident would not happen to me."
Clearly, that confidence came from arrogance NOT experience.

The Steelers have not given a timetable for Roethlisberger's return, but hope he will be ready for their Sept. 7 opener against Miami. Players who visited Roethlisberger in the hospital believe he will return to action soon, with no ill effects.
Good for him.

Bengals receiver Chad Johnson hopes the accident does not cause teams to impose more contractual limits on dangerous activities by players.
---
"If you're going to do it, do it very cautiously. If you're going to ride a bike, ride it the right way. Don't speed. Do it for enjoyment. If you're going to bungee jump, have two cords in case one snaps. I don't ride anything. I just talk trash. That's it."
Now THERE'S a man that knows his limitations . . .

Well I just hope he still plays as good as he did last year! ... we will be back to the super bowl again this year. ;)

I loved how he said: "Its not a law that I have to wear a helmet!"

But the PA law states that you have to have 2 years of bike exerience before you can ride without a helmet.. and guess what.. he didn't, nor did he have a license.... drrrrrr

BTW. Chad Johnson sure does talk smack, though I like him more than TO.

Woman cited in crash; Big Ben cited for helmet, permit
Monday, June 19, 2006

By Jonathan D. Silver, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Pittsburgh police today announced that a woman involved in last week's accident with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger failed to yield the right of way when she made a left turn in front of his motorcycle.

The woman, whose name was not released by police but who was previously identified as Martha Fleishman, 62, of Squirrel Hill, will be cited, with the fine usually set at $106.50, said police accident investigation Officer Dan Connolly.

Roethlisberger will be cited for failure to have a permit to operate a motorcycle. He also will be cited for failure to wear a helmet, which is required for motorcyclists who have not completed a safety course or who have not completed two years operating a motorcycle with a valid license.

He faces fines totaling $388, Connolly said.

Roethlisberger and Fleishman crashed on Second Avenue at the 10th Street Bridge last Monday. Connolly said the car ahead of Fleishman's turned on a yellow turning arrow but there was no arrow by the time she made the left turn. Both drivers had green lights, which means she had to yield to Roethlisberger, Connolly said. He added that Roethlisberger was traveling 35 mph in a zone with a posted 35 mph speed limit.

Roethlisberger had extensive facial injuries and spent several days in Mercy Hospital.

Police Chief Dominic Costa said police did not want to identify the driver because she has received several threats by telephone. Police are investigating.

Only $388 for not having a license and not wearing a helmet? That seems kind of cheap!
