Just had FIVE GUYS burgers for the first time

So I kept hearing about this place and just assumed we dont have any near us so I never bothered looking. Then last week I happened upon one on my way to Home Depot.

Today, I tried it. The burger was great, fresh toppings, hot jalapenos, overall very good.

The fries, apart from being overpriced and the regular portion way too big for one person, didnt taste so great with the cajun seasoning. Next time Ill go for two burgers and skip the fries.

Overall i was pleased. At $3.89 for just a burger its a little overpriced, but worth the freshness of the beef and toppings.

They also have free peanuts for munching on while you wait for your order. Feel free to throw the shells anywhere you like apparently.

I can get 2x cheese burgers for that price @ In N Out.

Peanuts for munching while you wait? In a bag or in bowl at the counter? If latter, you just got lupus.

you can get lupus from fecal matter? so thats why tweakers always have it.

I didn't even know they had cajun fries. The regular fries are very good, far, far, far, far, far superior to In n Out and most other chains.

funny, i've never had a problem with five guys fries. between in n out and five guys, in n out just doesn't compare. nothing beats five guys bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms and a1.

Usually Five Guys fries are awesome. Occasionally I get mediocre ones though, which sucks when I'm expecting the good ones.

Honestly have never tried them with the Cajun spice though.

Wow I didnt know you can get lupus by looking at peanuts. They are in a box on the side, and I didnt have any. Plus they are still IN the shell, so I dont see how they could be contaminated.

Well if I happen to go with three other people I might order the regular fries next time. The amount they give you is way too much for one person to consume.

LOL yea thats what I was thinking. When I asked the cashier how big a portion of fries was, she showed me a 10 oz foam SOLO cup. Im like thats not much I'll go for one of those. Then I get the bag with 2 lbs. of fries in it lol

i was excited when i saw they are opening one up on North Academy out in the Springs. i haven't had any since i was in virginia and south carolina.

There is something here.

I refuse to acknowledge the existence of fries superior to those at In-n-Out.

in n out has good fries, but you get way more at five guys, and they are hand cut fresh. it's always funny to go into five guys and see all the bags of potatoes sitting out front, and the things of peanut oil. even though you see someone cutting potatoes at in n out, gotta wonder where they come from.
and, on the board, they always tell you where the days potatoes are coming from, which is cool too.
