We use Alcohol at work and a paper towel. Just rub from the inside out in a straight line. And yes, a large majority of people do NOT know how to properly handle things like DVDs. I don't know what happened to the concept of treating other people's things like you would your own but it has definitely gone downhill. Better yet, maybe that's the problem. Maybe some people treat other people's things as badly as they do their own. :(

I rented a DVD last night at it wouldn't load. Went back and got another one and it skipped. The third one finally worked.

I mentioned to the store manager that before I brought the bad ones back I washed them with dish detergent and dried them by laying them flat on a paper towel.

She said that you should NEVER do that and not to do it again.

I clean all my kids CDs like this and have never had a problem.

Who's right?

Next time, use toothpaste.

Trust me, it works.
Here's what toothpaste will do. Trust me, you're a MORON!

he said toothpaste, not your denture cleaner :p
lol.. :p

He's right, though. IF you get non-abrasive toothpaste, it would work. But most people don't realize their toothpaste contains abrasives.
