iraq here i come............just got a call saying i was chosen to go to iraq out of my unit. I can ship out as early as friday to washington to start training to go there.
 
I wish you the best... but out of curiosity, why was this the "worst call"? Sounds like you don't want to go... perhaps you signed up before you realized the implications?

Stay safe over there - my aunt and uncle are in Afghanistan now, working as medics, and their unit has already come under fire. That whole situation is a mess. Be careful, and try to make the best with what's been given to you🙂

Dude, shoot a terryist for me. (I'm from redneck SC, that's how we say those things 'round here). Preferably with a painful load. A fatal, yet not killshot, wound would be perfect. Right in the gut, I guess.

Seriously though, are you gonna see any action? Or are you a support / non combat troop?
 
I was recalled post 9/11 but only to Norfolk, VA. I lived in Bahrain for almost three years and enjoyed the culture. Probably won't be too much of that in Iraq tho.
