Remember these words, and and best of luck....

Many of us have the upmost faith and respect for those like you. Remember the words above and remember everyone that have died for the country that you are about to stand up for. You are a now a step ahead everyone else, and dont let people tell you otherwise. God will watch over you, your buddies will watch over you.

And I seriously look down on everyone who isnt for the war, if your not for the war then you cannot be for the troops. Thing of this, if your not for what they are in Iraq for, your not supporting them. Your opinions are better left unsaid. And frankly 9 times out of 10 you would be there to, if your balls werent the size of pepples. Stop being a selfish "tree hugging hippie" and support our troops. I would give anything to be with them, when they are scared, under fire, and under pressure, every single one of them will turn out to be better people for what they are doing. I salute you. And if your not for the war, move your ass over there and see if you will change your mind. You are worthless in our society, you do nothing but bring us down. Go live in your nice home, comfortably because the US Military will ensure that you are safe, I know you cant do it for yourself. And if you got a problem with what i said send me a PM or reply to this,.. because I always like to hear what scared people like to say, it amuses me. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

GOOD LUCK BRO,

yeah lets fight for iraqi freedom and at the same time advocate limiting OUR speech!!

it's typicalll...you're just another dumba$$ who has fox news and pres. bush do all the thinking for you. youdidn't have to waste five minutes of your time to analyze facts and reason the circumstances. You just nod your head and agree to what you're told. And you're right...people like us are worthless. If there were more idiots like you (apparently there are) our government could easily feign freedom :Q and convince you of the most ridiculous bullsh!t. People like us....the ones who think for themsevles....get in the way of that. anyway...no one is scared of you..the only thing that scares me is that there is a possibility that you vote.

Well, since you specifically asked for a reply...

I seriously look down on anyone who has to resort to name calling and gross generalizations when they feel the need to spread their political blather. OF COURSE you can support the individuals who are called to duty without supporting the REASON they were called. To say otherwise is ludicrous. I have nothing but respect and good wishes for those who make personal sacrifices to fulfill a greater need. But my support for those individuals does NOT require my support for all of the policies they are affected by. The service men and women in our military are not in a position to question their orders, and follow them discretionally. The nature of the military requires a chain of command. You know this. Just because you feel a policy or decision from the top is wrong, doesn't mean that you feel everyone below that point is wrong for following their orders.

Being against this war automatically makes you an environmentalist? A hippie? Poorly endowed? Scared? Do you have any substantial comments to make that don't require grade school balderdash? Just curious? do you agree with every decision and act of every president of our country?

amen to that

I can't find anything about being an only child in the military. It seems like its a hidden rule if youre an only child you dont have to be shipped off (to a warzone) if you don't want to. That seems to be what I'm hearing. I was told by some sergeants about this. But again I can't find any documentation on it. Can anyone have any info?

For all those who wrote in this thread earlier about how if you did not support the invasion and occupation of Iraq then you were somehow "against America" or "supporting terrorists" or other nonsense... I wonder, then, if you now also consider the Army War College's Strategic Studies Institute a bunch of liberal anti-war refuseniks for writing a report that the invasion of Iraq was:

an unnecessary preventive war of choice against a deterred Iraq (that) only succeeded in creating a new front in the Middle East for Islamic terrorism and diverted attention and resources away from securing the American homeland against further assault by an undeterrable al-Qaida.

Which is basically what I said earlier, but using bigger words.
