good for you! i'm also in the process of switching jobs. i put in my 2-week notice last friday and now have no motivation to do any work...

Evreytime I see threads about accounting, I get depressed.
I have a BS in accounting too and I work at McDonalds...go figure.

I work at Blockbuster with a BS in Information Systems. College is worthless.

I have a BS in Information Systems and work for the gov't. Wouldn't be doing that without college.

Most likely, the worst that will happen is that they will say "No, 37k is set in stone." Then you need to decide if that's what you want. But most likely, they will counter with something between their original offer and your request.


Starting salaries are very important for the rest of your career. Most likely, raises are percentages. So, the higher you start off with, the higher you will be in several years from now compounded. (And if you are any decent at accounting, you don't need me to explain further. ;) )
