a bit of a change from IE. But I like it. with the extentions, tabbed features, and greater security this isn't bad at all. So far only problem was in browser video playback, when i tried to skip forward in the video stream turned blank even though it was streaming and sound was coming out.

all in all I think this is a welcome change from IE 6.0 even though IE feels more whole/complete.

My only problem for me has been when sometimes I click a link to a video it plays it internally in the browser window with quicktime... the file type is associated with a diff program... but it still does it in quicktime. Dont do it for IE.

Make sure you have your internet connections set properly within WMP, try running a windows media update inside the program, usually fixes this problem.

...and there's also a "quick reply" feature on these forums that I'm getting using Firefox that I've never seen before using IE 6.

If you knew how to use Fusetalk there would be a quick reply in IE too.

tabbed browsing has changed my life!
So addictive to have about 20 tabs open. Love it:thumbsup:

only problem I have with firefox is that I have to wait for the page to load up completely before I can open up a link...is that bug or something?

xenon, I have the video problem too, you have to minimize the window then maximize it and the video comes back, it's really weird cause the video only goes away when you click inside of the controller area where you can adjust the sound and time frame.

It may be a safety issue of some sort. I've noticed it myself.

My only problems is my homebaking only works for IE. Such irony.....................

All those with videoproblems try dl Quicktime Alternative

QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files (.mov, .qt and other extensions) without having to install the official QuickTime Player. It also supports QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages.

As a bonus, Internet Explorer will play all QuickTime movies that are embedded in a webpage. You do need a media player that is capable of playing QuickTime files. The included Media Player Classic supports it and works very well. The QuickTime Browser plugin supports Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape and Mozilla. The QuickTime plugins include iPIX and QuickTimeVR.

You'll never need another player :)

So I downloaded Firefox to give it a try.

I still find Opera so much better.

I switched to Firefox a while back. I HATE IE!!!!

If you need a mail client go for Thunderbird as well, instead of that sucky Outlook Express.
