If I'm sitting next to you yes, b/c I can hear it and I'm going to have to deal with you pull it out, see the screen light up and you fiddle around or even answer it which happens more often than not.

Do you take your cell phone/bb everywhere 24/7?

What fvcking rules are you talking about. I just got out of Rush Hour 3 and it said SILENCE YOUR PHONES. No where did it say don't even take out your phone. If you take it out you're outta here.

I am pretty sure I have never seen a "don't bring flashlights" into the theatre let alone a "don't turn them on if you got it" either, but that kind of shit is just common sense though, no? Ah, so because it only said to silence them, you can text with impunity. Got it.

Apparently you can't take your pants off and run up and down the aisles either. They should state all the rules at the beginning. :|

did you get your pants confiscated again?

So you can argue all you want in here but if you text with me around in a theatre, you get told to stop it, if you don?t, you get evicted from the theatre. I win, the crowd win, YOU LOOSE.

Ejecting a texting patron will cause more disruption than the texting itself. The theatre manager who does that to me will rue forever his decision.

for the people who love to use the argument of "what did you do before phones? turn your phone off because we used to live without them anyway"... guess what. Got one right back at ya
"what did we do before cars? why do you make your life so dependent on them? can't you do anything without your car"
mmm, maybe a parody thread with that argument is needed. :)

I don't have a problem with a phone on vibrate. At least I know it was only vibrate. I don't have a problem with you taking it out real quick to check what/who it was... I do have a problem with you responding to it.

Why will he "rue forever his decision"? You won't come back anymore? Oh man, that sucks. :(

Get over yourself. You sound like a classic a-hole. Learn some manners and common courtesy when you're in public.

Asshats, like yourself are good though b/c it just makes folks like myself complain and write to movie theater corporations who will hopefully make their cell phone policies more stringent.

try throwing a fit at our theater, and you'll be escorted out by local police officers. We have multiple officers work at our theater on the weekends, and one at any time during the weekdays. They are all on the theater's payroll, just they are in TPD uniforms.
our theater is above the largest mall in Toledo, and thus it draws in a lot of crowds. Gets unruly sometimes.

keep writing those letters bitchboy...

Having a cellphone in a movie theater on vibrate has nothing to do with manners or common courtesy. It does have everything to do with rude people like yourself that can't mind their own business and want everything their own way. People carry cells for a reason. Why they carry them is of no importance to you.

If someone one was sitting next talking on a phone during a movie, yes I would say something to that person. However, to get upset that someones phone is vibrating...

Key Words............. It's HIS JOB.......... why would he not respond to the texts and risk his job? That would inconvenience his family a whole lot more............. i'm sure if a volunteer firefighter's pager tones went off during a movie and he bolted out no one would bitch about it.................. and hell, volunteer firefighting isn't even really a job, per se.

Maybe its just some people remember a time when you could go to theaters and all you had to deal with were people kicking the backs of your seats, talking during movies, and crunching on pocorn. Now we have to deal with one more annoyance of cell phones. I'm sure if the thread was "manager kicked me out cause I was kicking the seat during the movie" would garner the same reaction from us "old farts". I paid for the movie and i expect some level of respect from fellow movie goers and you doing ANYTHING that might distract from my experience is going to annoy me. Leave the phone in your car and ignore it for 2 hours. I know its a crazy ass concept. You did it in the past and you can still do it now. Try it some time, you might enjoy the movie more and see where the rest of us are coming from.

OUIN OUIN OUIN!

Cops gets Mr TAZER out.

Cop: SIR WILL YOU NOW PLEASE TURN YOUR CELL PHONE OFF.

Journer: yes mr policeman, i am sorry for being such a selfish idiot. Please don't hurt me.

Loud aplauses from the theatre audience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
