Oh my God. :(
She will certainly be in my prayers and thoughts... as will you. I have found it is extremely difficult for those around the person that is ill to fully cope as we want to help and are virtually powerless at times.
Bless Kristy.

Add my good thoughts to all those others and hopefully they will all help you and your wife through this.

to your wife, plus my prayers.

While cancer is never a good thing to hear, the advances they've made, and continue to make, give is so much better of a chance than we've ever seen before now. Best of luck to both of you, and definitely keep us here at ATOT up to date.

Hope you guys can stay strong.
My psychology professor once mentioned about this miraculous case about a man who was told he had a few weeks left to live due to a malignant tumor.
He decided to spend his last days laughing. He got together with a bunch of his friends and found all the funny things he could find.
Yes, and miraculously, his tumor went away.

One's mood really has a drastic effect on a person's immune system.

Good luck!

Thank you everyone. We're not taking this as a death sentence as we've been through this before. But it really seems unfair to me, she hurts and is scared and I'm feeling resentful and scared. Not resentful of her, just her lot in life. And has been said, I just feel absolutely powerless to be of any real assistance to her. These are the times I wish I'd have studied medicine rather than engineering.

My wife has had terrible health for a decade now. Almost 10 years ago she had a partial hysterectomy due to a tumor on her left ovary and fallopian tube. 2 years later, she had to have a full hysterectomy, the rest of her stuff became malignant.

Fast forward to last January, she had a stroke and has been in horrible shape ever since. She's been making slow strides towards normalcy, but it's been miserable.

And now. Well, for the last month she's been having problems eating. She'd eat and then feel like she had a boulder in her guts, basically robbing her of her appetite. Two days ago, her back started hurting. Today it became so bad I had to take her to the ER. While there, she had a CAT Scan done and the results couldn't have been worse. She has a tumor somewhere above her pancreas. They didn't say how big it is, but she is going to have an MRI and ultrasound done on Tuesday.

Lab tests show that all her functions are uncompromised at this time, thankfully. But the pain is severe. I'm pretty damned worried right now, her family history is plagued with cancer.

So, if you pray, say one for Kristy (wife). If you don't pray, think positive thoughts towards her. Thanks.
Sorry to hear this. She had been through so much already. :(

Positive thoughts and prayers coming your way.
