I'm having my consultation done on monday. I have two lower impacted teeth, and an exposed upper right one.

Imma ask for the least amount of anesthetics as possible, though from what I've read, for impacted lowers, they usually IV you. The thing is, my dentist had to shoot up two things of lidacaine a while back just to do ONE filling, and that stuff wore off quite fast if you ask me.

I had mine out on the 3rd, the last thing I remember before the surgery was the doc asking if I had ever had an IV before.. I don't even remember if I answered or not..haha.

My entire surgery took under 30 minutes. 3 of my teeth were ruptured. Only one they had to cut some bone.. but barely any.

I was perscribed Vicodin..took 2 every 4 hours for 3 days and didn't feel a thing(except for the dizzyness!!!!!!:D)

Now almost 3 weeks later, my mouth feels perfectly fine. All the stiches were out after 10 days.

I would say that my extraction was very easy and little discomfort afterwards.

drive to the dentist myself - local anesthetics - extracted all four wisdom teeth - drive back home (only ~7 minutes away).

i did not take any kind of drugs or painkiller whatsoever afterwards (don't like drugs and have allergic reactions to some, so if i can still take the pain i usually just tough it up). man, the first 24 hours was hard, i tell ya..

Sounds like my experience with miltiary dental extractions. I did take some ibuprofen though. Several of mine were impacted so i came home with a chipmunk face. Pain and swelling lasted almost two weeks. And the cuts on my lips from them yanking and grinding was worse.
