I think I'll pick up Zelda today.
I loved the bowling - I was surprised at the amount of control you have, but even my sisters 5 year old neice would (with some help) have fun and do well.
I've heard Zelda:TP a great game and better on the Wii than the GC. There are now used copies showing up regularly so I'm sure I'll be buying it in the near future.
That being said, I think it's pretty friggin' sad that I post a thread about how I'm enjoying the Wii and all the naysayers come in and say that I'll be through with it in a month or too.
Talk about joy killers. Don't you have anything better else to do?
I agree, it is sad. If people don't like something, they should make thier own thread and offer constructive criticism. Walking into a persons joy thread and taking a crap is just that - crap.
And there are a few people that love to say how much they play theirs... what's the difference?
The difference is being a kill joy and wet blanket in someones happy happy topic. I'm not saying there is a place for contructive criticism. But there is a difference from somone constantly walking into topics like this one and saying their Wii collects dust and creating their own critique topic about the Wii and saying what they liked and disliked about the console and games on it, and why. I see far more example of crapping in peoples topics than people giving helpful comments that might tell a person why a console might be for them, or
not for them. We all have different goals and objectives. I imagine that most hard core teen or 20something who is addicted to FPS games is not going to be happy with games offered on the Wii system for example. I expect they are among the loudest critics.
I played some Wii over the holidays cause everyone i know got one, and to be quite honest, it bored me to the point where I didn't even want to play it against other people. I thought bowling, tennis, and tiger woods golf were interesting for about 10 minutes then I stopped caring.
Sell it to someone who does care then and stop complaining.
Look, I bought a Wii for my daughter. Honestly, I would probably have never bought one for myself as I haven't seen titles that excite me. I'm not a FPS gamer and not into alot of the Nintendo titles - really I'm more of an RPG computer gamer who does a little console gaming lite.
But, I imagine the above complainer is probably playing the Wii alone. While my daughter was off in Austria over the winter break, I had the Wii completely at my disposal, but I haven't taken it out of the box. I'll wait till my daughter gets back and play with her. I think the Wii (for me) was the most fun when I was playing with my folks and daughter and cousins. Bowling by myself just doesn't seem exciting. But I don't go to the bowling ally in RL by myself either. Somethings lend them self more to group play. Do people play monopoly alone? Obviously not. Of course some of the Wii games are more single player like Zelda and SMG etc.
Anyway, OP, glad you are enjoying it and please, ignore all the trolls. 90% of the "I'm bored with my Wii" posts are just bored people who want to crap on your party. I already explained to them what I think is a legitimate outlet for their criticism.
