i'm not saying you will hate it or anything, i'm just curious because most people love it then the novelty wears off and it just sits there. happened to me and the other 3 people i know IRL who have the Wii. other than mario galaxy it hasn't gotten played in a long ass time, and now that i'm done w/mario galaxy there really is not 1 game i know of coming to the Wii that i care about. if my fiancee's nephews and brother didn't ever play it, or that random person who wants to play wii bowling comes over, i would probably sell it.
So in other words, you're a glass half empty guy -- you're setting up my Wii experience for the big FAIL?

I think he doesn't like the Wii ;)

Hmm, ya think?

I've noticed there are a few "Wii anti fanboys" who always seem to love to say how theirs just collects dust etc.

i bought a wii and xbox360 this summer. Still enjoying the wii. Returned the xbox360 2 weeks ago ( bestbuy product replacement) and got a ps3.
The xbox360 is the FIRST console i returned in 20years. microsoft pisses me off .
1. no mouse/kb---- could have been the BEST fps console ever.
2. no G25 wheel support---- forza2 and pgr4 could have been great.
3. no web browser------ wtf is up with that? even the wii have a browser...ms..the maker of Internet explorer... retarded
4. paying for xbox LIVE --- i dont mind this except no dedicated server...i am paying ms to use my dsl connection to host games??? again...wtf???
Only have motorstorm for the ps3.. but at least ps3 have point #2-4 now....and UT3 is a start for point #1
The really good games on the xbox360 are FPS games.. they are as good as poo when it doesnt support kb/mouse

Something about how if you can't say anything nice...

Guess the Internets missed the memo.

Hes not talking crap... hes talking the truth. The OP may or may not like it as much after 2 months, but nearly everyone loves new technology the first day they get it. The Wii is no different. For many, the Wii wears excitement off quickly, yet for others it doesnt.

So the four things you say that you hate about the Xbox 360 are all things that existed BEFORE you bought it and you had no reason to expect them to change, yet you still bought it.

I'm going into KFC and raising hell when they won't serve me a cheeseburger.

I played some Wii over the holidays cause everyone i know got one, and to be quite honest, it bored me to the point where I didn't even want to play it against other people. I thought bowling, tennis, and tiger woods golf were interesting for about 10 minutes then I stopped caring.

I missed it in the tangles of PSWii360 flames and trolls, but...

Glad you are enjoying your Wii NFS4, hope you continue to enjoy it. Make sure to check out some of the VC titles, there are some genuine treasures to be had among the mediocre and just plain bad titles.

Games I recommend for the Wii if you're looking for more: Raving Rabbids 1 and 2, Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil: UC, Excite Truck, Zak and Wiki, Puzzle Quest, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Trauma Center: New Blood, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Charged, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, MLB Power Pros, SSX Blur, Elebits, and Battalion Wars 2.

Not all of these games are going to appeal to all gamers, but they're all quality Wii titles in their own right. Apparently it's not many, but it should be a list that holds you over until SSBB and the new Mario Kart :).

My arm is nearly dead again. Just played Wii Tennis and Bowling for about two hours straight. Now some more Mario Galaxy then I'm off to bed :D

I think I'll pick up Zelda today.

That being said, I think it's pretty friggin' sad that I post a thread about how I'm enjoying the Wii and all the naysayers come in and say that I'll be through with it in a month or too.

Talk about joy killers. Don't you have anything better else to do?

LOL... but whose saying anything mean other than the first guy that called people who care about graphics fvcktards and the guy that responded to him!??? This has gotten rather silly on the part of you guys acting like we have mounted some fanboy attack on the Wii. All most of us have been saying (again, all started by the guy on the Wii side of the fence.. so to speak) is that many of us loved our Wiis at the start but tired of it pretty quickly and we are wondering which way NFS4 will end up going. That's it! Nothing more, nothing less. I mean, damn... lighten up guys. God forbid we not all love our Wiis and bow at Nintendo's alter!

Apparently being a previous owner of the Wii doesnt give you the right to have an opinion about it. You have to be a current and loving Wii owner to know anything about "fun".

Sincerely,
Your friendly neighborhood fucktard.

First guy here. I said people that ARGUE about graphics, not people that care about them.
I say if it's fun, PLAY IT! Don't worry about how long it's going to last, or what anyone else thinks. I've played games, listened to music and watched movies my friends can't stand, but why does that matter? It doesn't. I still play Final Fantasy III and other SNES era games (and earlier) and find them immensely fun despite the graphics. For me, gameplay wins every single time.
That's why I draw the line at playing E.T. on Atari 2600. Mindblowing graphics (you can even tell which part is his head!) but the gameplay leaves alot to be desired. Too bad I have about 1.5 million copies of it buried in my backyard. :(

I kind of think TP was the low point in the franchise, but it's still a lot of fun, and having played it on both the GC and Wii, it's definitely a game that benefits from using the wiimote+nunchuk combination for control.

I think as long as you pace yourself and don't plow through games in 1 or 2 sittings (who has time for that these days anyway?), there are plenty of games to be had on the system.

Oh, I love Wii Bowling too. Don't buy Brunswick Bowling. It's crap, even for $20, it's a step down from Wii Sports bowling.

I'm living for the day someone releases a good online capable bowling game on the Wii with online stat tracking.

I loved the bowling - I was surprised at the amount of control you have, but even my sisters 5 year old neice would (with some help) have fun and do well.

I've heard Zelda:TP a great game and better on the Wii than the GC. There are now used copies showing up regularly so I'm sure I'll be buying it in the near future.

I agree, it is sad. If people don't like something, they should make thier own thread and offer constructive criticism. Walking into a persons joy thread and taking a crap is just that - crap.

And there are a few people that love to say how much they play theirs... what's the difference?

The difference is being a kill joy and wet blanket in someones happy happy topic. I'm not saying there is a place for contructive criticism. But there is a difference from somone constantly walking into topics like this one and saying their Wii collects dust and creating their own critique topic about the Wii and saying what they liked and disliked about the console and games on it, and why. I see far more example of crapping in peoples topics than people giving helpful comments that might tell a person why a console might be for them, or not for them. We all have different goals and objectives. I imagine that most hard core teen or 20something who is addicted to FPS games is not going to be happy with games offered on the Wii system for example. I expect they are among the loudest critics.

I played some Wii over the holidays cause everyone i know got one, and to be quite honest, it bored me to the point where I didn't even want to play it against other people. I thought bowling, tennis, and tiger woods golf were interesting for about 10 minutes then I stopped caring.

Sell it to someone who does care then and stop complaining.

Look, I bought a Wii for my daughter. Honestly, I would probably have never bought one for myself as I haven't seen titles that excite me. I'm not a FPS gamer and not into alot of the Nintendo titles - really I'm more of an RPG computer gamer who does a little console gaming lite.

But, I imagine the above complainer is probably playing the Wii alone. While my daughter was off in Austria over the winter break, I had the Wii completely at my disposal, but I haven't taken it out of the box. I'll wait till my daughter gets back and play with her. I think the Wii (for me) was the most fun when I was playing with my folks and daughter and cousins. Bowling by myself just doesn't seem exciting. But I don't go to the bowling ally in RL by myself either. Somethings lend them self more to group play. Do people play monopoly alone? Obviously not. Of course some of the Wii games are more single player like Zelda and SMG etc.

Anyway, OP, glad you are enjoying it and please, ignore all the trolls. 90% of the "I'm bored with my Wii" posts are just bored people who want to crap on your party. I already explained to them what I think is a legitimate outlet for their criticism.

BTW, when my Wii is in off/standby mode, sometimes the blue LED lights surrounding the slot-loading drive slowly pulsate on then fade off again. It just keeps doing this over and over again. All the while, the power LED remains orange.

Is this normal? Why does it do it sometimes and sometimes not?

It means you have a message in your inbox. could be system update, or just something game related.. or a message from a friend that has your wii number.

amber led is your wii is on standby, and red means standby has been disabled, and you're completely off (no wifi, so won't get new messages). I leave it off because my wii gets pretty warm, and it seems like a waste for my purposes.

I was just saying to my friend the other day a Wii Sports 2 that's more fleshed out with league stats and such would be cool.
