Just got a FREE Super Nintendo - so what games should i get for it?

Man, the sole reason I bought the snes was for street fighter 2 when it first came out. That game was gangsta! Recently I sold my n64 to purchase an snes (i got rid of it a long time ago) and street fighter 2 turbo. The newer consoles do nothing for me. Time to go retro.

hate to break it to you, but the best SNES games do not cost next to nothing. You'll have to put out a good $50 for any of the classic SNES RPGs - Final Fantasy 2/3, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana...if you're looking for one in mint condition w/ box and maps, heh, it could run you over $100 (check eBay prices)

on the other hand other must have games like Zelda 3, Super Mario Kart, the DKC series, won't cost you as much.

someone mentioned Super Bomberman above, which I have to agree was a great game. Aside from what everyone else has said....there's NBA Jam which was really good at the time.

Earthbound is one of the greatest games ever....it is a must have, but after seeing Chrono trigger go for $102 ebay, good luck finding it.

I can't recommend Chrono Trigger enough. One of my 3 favorite games of all time.
Also, Super Mario Kart. One of my other 3 favorites.

There are tons of other good games, which people have already listed. But these games still get use in my house, even with the Gamecube and PS2 sitting within 2 feet of my SNES.
