I just pulled my geforce 2 for a 9700 Pro. I installed the cat 3.1 drivers (leaving everything to default) I scored a 10145 with the default 3d mark 2001 bench. Does that seem ok with this system (1.4 Tbird, 512Pc2100, ati radeon 9700 Pro retail)?
One number that stood out to me was the car chase seen at high detail, it only scored 38 fps, does that seem low?
One other quesion about my power suppy. After I originally installed the card/drivers everything booted up and ran fine, I probably played for two hours just testing some of my games, and had no problems what so ever. But, after shutting down the pc for a few hours I did a cold boot, winXP loaded a slow, and once the the desktop icons loaded the screen went black for about a second, my refresh rate set itself back to 60 Hz (was set to 100hz). Could this be a power supply issue? I rebooted and haven't had anymore problems since (maybe two hours).
