Bad idea. If it ever gets to the point you have to pull your gun on someone you shoot to kill, not to wound.IMO, go for a leg takedown.

I doubt you'll actually have to shoot. Well, shoot to kill anyways. I bet they'll just bolt when they see the gun - and you can't really shoot them in the back. IMO, go for a leg takedown. Nice and quick, and they can enjoy that wonderful feeling of their kneecaps exploding when you shoot them out.

When you drag the limp bodies back into your house, make sure you hose down the entrance way so it isn't too obvious you shot them outside...![]()

Interesting point. I've heard this before. Not "make sure they're in the house before you shoot", but "make sure they're in the house before you call to report the shooting"I told the officer that and he reminded me to make sure they were in the house before I called them to report the shooting.
Go back and read the original post again. They have been parking in my neighbor's driveway for quite some time. Then yesterday morning they parked in mine after I left, got out, and were wandering around the side/back of the house until they saw my neighbor get into her car and leave.making a leap from noticing a van driving around the neighborhood to planning how to kill a home-invasion robber is quite a leap.

basically, a guy killed a burglar that came in his family's house and HE is going to jail.
"The prosecution claimed that Hastings had overstepped the mark and ?meted out his own form of punishment? when he stabbed Williams 12 times, mostly in the back. Hastings insisted that instinct took over. He believed that he was protecting his children, a boy of four and girl of two, and their mother. "
i know it sorta differs in your case...esp since you dont live in London. but still it is something to think about.
