Does a DS count? I assumed not and went with "No, but might get on in the future" because there's a nice DVD+Game rental package available from a Netflix-equivalent in the UK which would mean having a 360 or PS3 wouldn't mean buying expensive games. And I could play some of the console exclusives I've missed out on.

Meh. I have a Wii, but I hardly think that counts. EVERYONE has a Wii.

I really only use it during parties for drunken Guitar Hero and Wii Sports.

I almost bought a 360 with the Mother's Day Barnes and Noble coupon that brought it down to $100 shipped. (Price mistake that was cancelled)

I'm old enough that I don't have the time to put into console playing. Top tier PC RPGs and FPSs are more than enough to take up all my spare time.

I'm not a console hater, but new consoles cost MORE than a gaming capable PC. (If you know how to build) Not to mention new console game prices suck. Once the new Xbox comes out, I'll probably buy a 360 and play all the AAA games on the cheap...

The only console I'll buy would be the Wii ....and as a gift for my niece or someone else. I prefer to game on a PC. Before I got into PC gaming ~ 10yrs ago, ah, the good ole days (UT99, Counter-Strike) I had a PS that since then has sat un-used for about 10yrs.. although now that I think of it, Contra or Zelda would be fun to reboot for some nostalgia.

I have a PS2 slim.
Only use it for playing the handful of RPG's I thought I'd like.
DQ 8 (fun but got bored quick).
FF X-2 (sucks).
FF12 (sorta sucks).
Grandia 3 (meh).
Valkyrie something or other. (Not started yet).

And truthfully I only turn the sucker on once in a blue moon. I have not finished any game except Grandia 3, and that was with lots of gameshark help.
Looks like if I do finish X-2 it will be the same way.
FF12 I will not even bother. It sucks too badly.

Two. I bought a SNES off of a friend for $20 including a half dozen cartridges, and my cousins' family mailed us a Playstation 2 with a Karaoke game and a note saying that we're too sober a family. The PS2 hasn't been played, and SNES9x has supplanted the SNES's role as well.

Our Wii is a dust collector. My girls (9 and 12) are avid PC gamers. I wouldn't mind a PS3 for several of the non-PC titles as well as functionality with respect to BluRay and media networkability. Probably get one eventually.
