Are you royally screwed? I would be in your situation, but then I was very average in my physics classes. Still, 80 pages in less than a week is a tall order for anyone.

Naw, I'll be fine. I've done all the work for it already. I just have to write everything down. A few pages will be taken up with figures, pictures, graphs, references, title page/table of contents etc...

My longest paper was 15 pages on Operating Systems for a special topics class. The worst paper I had to do was a 12 pager plus a 15 minute presentation on Herpes for my human sexuality class... Talk about some rough material to cover!

See, for me that's one evening's work. I miss assignments like that. But I can't program my way out of a paper bag.

Mine is 22

Not joking :p

Dude I procrastinate to the max...And I am not even sure if I am capable of writting a 80 page paper since I have never tried( I am sure I can but i wont do it if I am not forced to ) but i would be freaking out right now. The 22 page paper I wrote I did in one night including most of the research but that was in a tax law a somewhat simple subject....no physics!

132 pages-high school thesis project. It was required by my high school in order to graduate. Sounds like a lot but we had two years to do it.

I was about to find this obnoxious until you said you had 2 years to do it.

Still, I would find this nerve racking, as I always wait until the last minute to do anything like that. My crowning achievement of my college career was a 10 page term paper that I did the night before the end of the semester. Began work at 12am, stopped at 7am, turned it in at 9:30 for an A. Now that I think back, I wonder what took me so long.

For a class (grad school), 76 pages of text (no graphics, charts, etc.) with another 18 pages of sources single-spaced. It was a lit review on the major hominid fossils from Africa that are more recent than .8 million years ago plus some analysis. It was surprisingly painless, as there is a lot of content to cover. Prof indicated he thought the paper was worth an A- but gave me an A because it contained not a single typo or grammatical mistake. :)

My personal favorite was the 8 page paper I wrote about a four line poem, though, that was the biggest load of BS I ever spewed. Stupid arts requirements.
