Just to keep things in perspective, I once was hired to train a Doctor in Beverly Hills CA on his brand new home video editing system...
Forget the fact that I charge over $1K/8hrs of training, the guy had installed a $650K post production system into his basement JUST TO EDIT HOME MOVIES!!

Ok heres the deal. Alienware called me saying they came out with a new system called the Auruora(somehthing like that) 7500. They configured it with exactly what i had on the ALX and it was about 1500 dollars cheeper so i switched to the 7500 while moviig my HD space up to 1TB insteas of 500GB, got a 20GB MP3 player, wireless joystick and gamepad and a ups system all for less that the orignal alx system cost. Thanks Alienware for updating me on the new system!

anyone notice that alienware's site looks a lot like Dell's now? anyways, congrats on your new purchase. for all those that are knocking this guy, leave him alone. he has the money to spend, and alienware makes great systems for those that can afford them.

This kinda reminds me of automobile message boards.

Go check out a Porsche board, or Ferrari, and there are always some lame-arses that post on there saying, "You guys are idiots for buying Porsches! My Mustang is way faster- you wasted your money! Why do you need a 190mph car to drive to work in? jeez.. nothing like a fool and his money..." And the Porsche guys are like "uhhhh... go away please." :D

Money is all relative.

I remember when 100bucks was like A LOT of money, and a thousand may as well have been a million, because it took a looooong time to save up that kind of cash - and I certainly wouldn't have spent it on a CPU or something for my computer of all things. Now.. well, a thousand seems like a lot less than a hundred used to be.. It's all relative folks - not everyone is in your financial situation.
