Snow squall watch in effect for:
- London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County
There is potential for snow squalls off of Lake Huron beginning late this morning and carrying on through the afternoon into the evening hours.
Local snowfall amounts of 15 cm and near zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow are possible in the strongest lake effect snow bands.
The snow squalls are expected to weaken slowly into flurries this evening.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
