We've been having highs of 50° the last couple days and tomorrow too. Been a very mild January, I think we only had a few days where the high didn't break 40. Very unusual. Let's hope this continues into February.

Balls cold out there.

-21 and supposedly feels like -21, but it actually feels way colder than that, more like -30. Fingers are frozen. Gloves/mitts don't do much in these temps. Either that or maybe I'm just not acclimated since it's been a warm winter overall.

Been on my butt all day working from home so just wanted to get a bit of air and move around a little. Snow blowed a path to the shed, it didn't really need to be done but just wanted to use my new electric 2 stage snow blower so took care of some of the snow that's blown over the path since the last time. Was also curious how it would perform in the cold since it's battery powered, and it did fine.

-26 feels like -30. We're also under an extreme cold warning. Expecting windchills near -40. That's where F and C are the same.

I actually successfully heated my office with just solar today. Nice thing about this extreme cold is the sun tends to be out. When it's warmer it's always overcast.

The sky is super clear right now, so many stars. It would make great photography but way too freaking cold to be out there trying to use a camera lol. It would be one of the best times to get good star photography though, as it's completely pitch black unlike summer.

Last week it was like 60 degrees and sunny. This week, much colder.
And yesterday it was really cold and sunny which in some ways is more annoying than any other combination.

Bright and sunny temps in the upper 30's f today... artic air arrives in southern New England tonight with lows below zero all the way to the coast.

So far this has been about the overall mildest winter I can ever remember and as a result nobody is used to this around here so it will feel 10 times colder than it actually is!

Back when I skied a lot I always used to feel cold until after to first excursion to Northern VT or NH for the season, then when I got back to CT I'd be walking around in shirt-sleeves when it was 15f like it was nothing... this is going to be the exact opposite but for everyone!

First time I see that flying snow flake symbol. I think we just unlocked a new ability.

It's pretty much 50-ish for us here...currently 52 degrees, .54" of rain (so far, more on the way), wind gusts to near 50 mph.

-13 feels like -21. Warmed up quite a bit and we got a couple cm of snow. Suppose to get a couple cm every day throughout the next few days.

Overall not much snow yet on the ground. Been snow blowing a path to my shed and the side of it so I can take snow off the panels without needing snowshoes but there are years where there is no way I'd be able to keep up with that by now.
